We have no idea whether Toffee or Eclipsa is older from one another. Toffee might be older than Elcipsa or even her lover.

Though if it is his real name then it would make more sense if she was his parent/owner than his lover. Which mean that the Trigon demon might still exist, too.

I watched the movie the other day (rarely watched the show) and didn't really get it. What the fuck was Toffee's endgame? What was his motivation? After being brought back to life, where was he going when he was walking away while being a coy edgelord to everyone? Was he just walking away because it's dramatic?

Toffee's been in Ludo during the possession and Ludo's been in Toffee when he was regenerating around him. For the latter case actually, physically inside him.

Star's been in Toffee and I guess since he was in a semi-liquid form then some of him may have gotten inside her too. Don't remember if Glossaryck was there or some other metaphysical place but it's close enough.

Depending on what he did to 4 out of 5 of the MHC their lifeforce or whatever could've been inside him too at one point. Not sure if there are any other examples but it's happened more than once.

Cheek emblems are not exclusive. The card suit imagery is emblematic of the Butterfly family in general; even after Eclipsa's reign of terror, there's still tons of Spade imagery in Butterfly castle, in the very architecture.
If the skulls were specifically meant to represent Eclipsa and Moon, it's hard to think of a consistent reason why for both of them. It makes sense for him to intimidate Moon by wearing "her skull," but Eclipsa's been "dead" for 300 years.

The most sensible explanation is that they just represent "I'm hunting the heads of Butterflys," and Spades are just one of the emblematic symbols of the family.

Toffee was playing the long game. He wanted to destroy the Mewman's only trump card against Monsters by destroying their source of magic. Then he just wanted to get back at Queen Moon for defeating him.
His end game was to cripple the Mewmans and then destroy them. The reason that he hid inside of Ludo and persuaded Ludo to do his bidding rather than reveal himself outright is because he knew both Queen Moon and potentially Princess Butterfly had the ability to destroy him.
He took over Ludo's minions because, despite being a runt, Ludo was the most organized of the monster factions and knew how to be an effective leader despite being little more than a petulant child. He simply took what Ludo had.
Then he faked defeat against Star with the full knowledge that her whispering spell would cause him to disappear inside Ludo, which he needed to do in order to corrupt the Butterfly family's access to magic (and corrupt all magic for any of his adversaries).
Then he got Ludo to burn their book which meant that the Butterfly family didn't have its spells, family history, or Glossaryck to save them.
Where Toffee ultimately erred was taking Glossaryk's neutrality towards the Mewmans vs. Monsters conflict as a sign of complete apathy towards the entire affair. IIRC, in the Star vs. "lore," Glossaryk exists for the sole purpose of protecting and regulating magic in the Universe.
Toffee's ultimate sin was pride in thinking that he could out-maneuver Glossaryk, who is omnipotent for all intents and purposes.

Question: what are non-mewmans that aren't "monsters?"

As in, is Baby an enslaved monster? Or something else? What about the entire High Commission? They aren't mewmans. Are they also "monsters?"

If they aren't monsters, why are monsters considered monsters when they have such a huge diversity of species?
