There were more grisly, more methods, and more deaths overall within any one Umbara episode than in any other episode or even arc of episodes than in the rest of the show. Yeah. Del Toro is actually really close to the age Ezra would be by the time of TFA. The problem is that even though Luke and Leia are only supposed to be in their early 50's, they're played by actors who clearly look older than that. 1. The Nelvana cartoons - Droids and Ewoks. Very comfy nostalgia cartoons that I love, but unbelievably ridiculous in the way only 80s cartoons could be and which are just too childish to fit into star wars.
2. most of the plot to the Bounty Hunter game could remain unchanged but "yet another sith" might have some serious hiccups in lore, not to mention Gardulla the Hutt being eaten and then showing up in TCW and any Mandalorian implications, but I think overall the plot could be reworked into a great Jango Fett backstory
3. I really hated the phenomenally contrived stupidity of everyone involved in The Truce at Bakura and am glad that book and its faggy commie dinosaurs were almost never referenced again

Mara Jade in general. I really like the dynamic between her and Luke in legends. But I'm not sure how it could work now, because even if they brought Mara back, there's no way it will be as good as her story arc was in legends. Thrawn was doable because they had a lot of wiggle room and is such an intimidating villain, Mara is not as simple.

The most annoying thing for me in the Aftermath trilogy wasn't the terribly written characters, or the bad writing style, it was Wedge's "character" arc and the "Phantom" Squadron. Rogue Squadron is iconic, and the book series was masterfully done. It wasn't the garbage part of the EU, it was the best part. the highest quality. We go from that to Phantom Squadron and it's night and day.

In that case, for #4 I say the Inquisitors and Dark Troopers. Inquisitors in the old EU felt more dynamic than the new canon (except for the Grand Inquisitor, he's my favorite). I know Dark Troopers aren't technically canon but the droids based off of the Dark Troopers in Rebels don't feel as threatening as the ones in Dark Forces (though to be fair the Dark Troopers in Dark Forces were easy to beat except for, maybe, phase 3)

Look at pic related. I already knew that Luceno was talking with Roffman directly, but I didn't know that the book was CANON as of 2012.

Wasn't Lucas already getting ready to nuke the EU by 2012?

If Lucas allowed it to be called canon in 2012 doesn't that mean he would have kept it canon?

We're already almost 200 episodes strong across TCW and Rebels.

And our books, comics, vidya and movies are also actually canon to said shows.

I think Star Wars canon has already 1-up'd Trek, if not in quantity then at least in continuity and consistency and quality..

There is a grey area around then where a couple books and media came out that were supposed to be just as canon as the movies. Force Unleashed and Plagueis are good examples of this.

However, when Lucas sold it to Disney, EVERYTHING was wiped. The only things that came out before 2014 that are still canon are the movies and The Clone Wars. Disney takes priority over what's canon because they are the ones making the new material

I honestly think a live action series about TIE/X-wing pilots would be great. It would focus on the most literal aspect of Star Wars, the actual star wars. the dogfights between Rebel Scum and the Empire in space.
