How did they get this past the copyright gestapo?

In Post-Soviet Russia, copyright gestapo gets past you!
Because the people who made Captain Pronin clearly gave no shits about absolutely anything

Even today, this clearly falls under fair use as parody. Pronin ep.1 is pretty much a parody of the American spy/detective/cop drama genres (primarily Bond), Pronin ep.2 is a parody of action (sci-fi) movies, Pronin ep.3 is a parody of sci-fi adventure movies (primarily Star Wars) and ep.4 is kind of a weird one out: it's parodying mysteries and even computer "quest" games to some degree, but you can't really tell which movies or games exactly. And this all is of course sprinkled with Russian comedy and pop references as well. This is from the "wild 90's" people had freedom for the first time and it caused a boom in crime and also a boom in creativity.

You can't just have a character called James Bond doing James Bond stuff and call it "parody" anon.

You mean like you can't have Batman do super-hero stuff and then whip out his dick to fuck Catwoman in a movie you call "This isn't Batman a XXX parody"? Or maybe you think South Park and Family Guy producers pay royalties to all of that shit they put into their cartoons for parody/joke reasons?

When did Bond whip out his cock or do anything silly like swim in the ocean because he thought he was a fish? He was just there to be Bond.

>"Okay I am James Bond"
What did he mean by this?

When did Bond ever play second fiddle to anyone or was apprehended on suspicion of being a foreign spy by a retired Cossack?

That's some fluid animation.
