It's baffling how badly they ruined her; every other villain has great, fully-explained reasons as to why they're evil/trying to take over the galaxy, and are generally at least somewhat complex characters. They're all powerful, but they all have their own silly, but reasonable, weaknesses; Hater is easily distracted and is desperate to look cool, Peepers is tiny and easily overpowered despite having an army to back him up, his army has a ton of firepower but they're all ultimately just a bunch of guys with guns, Emperor Awesome is extremely powerful but with the mentality of a cool-guy douchebag (which makes him a perfect sort of rival for Hater), the black cube of darkness has dark eldrich power but is just a depressed cube, and so on.

Then there's Dominator, whose entire personality is just having a big ego (when Emperor Awesome already filled that role), being pretty (constantly showing off her curves to an insulting degree), and being LE QUIRKY EPIC NERD. Also she just flat-out has no real weaknesses; Wander has absolutely zero effect on her (despite being able to get to literally any villain he's ever met), she has her stupid fucking lava hand powers which never run out and protect her from all damage forever, and even when they successfully implanted a bomb to destroy her ship with the one element that counters her power source, it just... doesn't work, for no reason. And, as if just to add insult to injury, she gains ice powers, too. And her reason for wanting to destroy the galaxy is literally just because she thinks it's fun, because she's such an EDGY QUIRKY NERRRD XDDD that watches cartoons while she genocides countless civilizations.
Anyone who defends her is literally a fucking mongoloid. It's fine if you think she's pretty, but saying she's a not an abysmally awful character is an outright lie.

It's an important distinction to be made that they can only shapeshift for a relatively short period of time before reverting to their default forms. So Amethyst literally can't assume her male persona as the wrestler the Purple Puma for more than like a few hours before bouncing back to the pudgy midget gnome woman she's permanently stuck as. So even if she wanted to be a tall burly man or if she wanted to be twig like Pearl, she can't just do that. They can change her hair or clothes though.

SSB is fine, honestly. It's just them going Super Saiyan while in SSG form. It also showed that they need a LOT of Ki control just to even reach that length; and when they do, it takes a lot of stamina for them to control it. Not to mention that it's basically the polar opposite of SSJ, which has been stated by Goku and Vegeta "that a calm mind and focus are required to use this form properly." And that you could control your God Ki to suppress or increase their power with great ease;instead of just increasing your power to your limit like SSJ does, which allows them to hold back if needed even in their god state. I also enjoyed that in the manga, Vegeta bypassed the stamina rule by switching SSB on just to land a blow;and immediately switches back to SSG to minimize the drain. It was also pretty cool seeing Goku utilize Kaioken with SSG.

As for an excuse on why it was blue, Tori says on Goku he made his hair light blue to express how “by overcoming a certain limit he has become both strong and tranquil, able to keep his composure in a fight”.Toriyama even admitted that he had thought that maybe he should have made the form white, but that it would have clashed with the 'next enemy';so he made it blue.

As for GOLDUN FREEHZA, I kinda agree that it was cringe worthy;but they had to do something with him. He had even stated that he's never trained a day in his life, so there was definitely some room for a new transformation. Was Golden Freeza a good idea? Well, first look; no, it doesn't look like a good idea at all. But how he culminated that power was by him solidifying his hatred for Goku, and him pulling super saiyan out of his ass to beat him. What else would be a bigger insult to Goku than for Freeza to have a golden transformation himself; and get fucked up by the form that encapsulated the absolute hatred for Saiyans to the point where he even made it look like his SSJ form? I'd say it was probably a nice idea after you think about it like that.

Well the thing is, animes sometimes have movies that are compressed versions of what happened in the anime. With DBS, they decided to announce the new series by releasing the movies first; to draw out all that pent up hype that's been stewing for like 10+ years. They cashed in, then made the series afterwards. Honestly, it was a really really really good tactic on their part to make the movies first. Not only to get people who aren't familiar into DB, but also to promote the series all-together.

I mean, imagine if they premiered the movies after all of that stuff had already aired. It definitely wouldn't have generated the revenue, or hype that it did when they came out. Ehhh.. I liked the Buu saga. It's what really put a nail in the coffin to a ton of my friends who enjoyed DBZ that they wanted more and more. Including me. I was pretty devastated when I found out the series was ending. Heh, I remember trying the fusion dance with my brother.

I thought the monkey paw was coming into affect when GT came out, I enjoyed it for what it was; but it just didn't have the same feel as DBZ. It felt like it was being made by the fans, or just someone who didn't really have a grasp on what made DBZ; DBZ.

Then the movies came out 10 years later; and I seriously don't regret waiting this long for it to come out, or wishing for it to continue. Yeah, the power scaling is crazy; but there was really no other way for it to continue without stretching out the story Universally. Goku and friends going against another bad guy that wants to take over/destroy earth would just be... ehhhhh.. At least Beerus seemed just seemed to be another one of those; then they introduced Universes.

It's pretty great so far, but I agree as far as the Universal Tournament being pretty lackluster. People were saying how they're saving up funding and time for the tournament, and we get a whole episode that was supposed to introduce the start of the tournament; only to get shoved with 60% reused animations, and the rest was just cushioning fluff and staring. So far, the tourney has been quite a letdown; even if they're just waiting to eliminate more people so that they can focus on animating everything else a lot better,I still feel like it's just an excuse for having shit animators boarding the episode.

I mean look at this shit. This was just a wonderful scene. I just wish they did more of this in the tourney,instead of just offscreen knocking people off the ring as an excuse not to animate anything; and reused animations,along with a couple of 'eh' scenes. I want to feel like 'HOLY SHIT THIS TOURNEY IS AMAZING JESUS CHRIST' like how the intro projects.

How does it looks stupid? Because it's blue? Because it looks like a super saiyan, which is exactly what SSB is? It's them using god ki (Super saiyan god) while going super saiyan, which transforms them to SSB.

Aka Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. But that sounded shitty, so they went with Super Saiyan Blue. Not to mention it looks pretty good in contrast with the red ki that AYYY LMAO and their team has, so there's that. It's what Tori intended.

Steven was pretty good at shapeshifting, I wouldn't be surprised if he inherited that from his mom too. Rose Quartz is known to heal, so I wouldn't stretch it too far to see her maintaining it for that long. Actually, maybe she ended up getting poofed, probably purposely; just so that she can permanently have those body parts without forcing a shape shift. I mean look at Amethyst, she can still pee.

It's not just that it's blue, it's that the blue contrasts a ton with the red/orange gi. If Goku wore blue like he did in GT than maybe, but as it stands it just clashes.

I also find the hair design boring, but that could be because it's SSJ2 hair, which I never liked.
