The original Webby was flat out a token female character and no one liked her, everyone hated her. That was always a big failure of the show nothing to "ruin" there.

Personally I would be more interested to see what they do with Goldie and if she does appear Magica as they were always far more interesting characters.

Also agree that Gosalyn Mallard from Darkwing Duck was better than original Webby. She was kind of a weird/crazy delinquent kid and had a lot of the same gaping character flaws as her dad Darkwing.

Though they did have episodes where Gosalyn and Darkwing would compete like when she was her obvious nod to Green Arrow hero character it never felt like a "girls vs. boys" thing just them having clashing egos/bullheaded and I think the episodes always came down on the side of Darkwing being the better hero simply because Gosalyn was a child without as much experience as him. But that she would be a great hero someday. And then they were about Darkwing's biggest fear which was that getting Gosalyn involved with the superhero stuff would someday get his daughter killed.

I remember a comic where an alternate universe Darkwing had that come true and his Gosalyn was killed so her took on her hero identity out of respect for her.

That's a hell of a lot to assume based on a minute long clip where she spergs out over the game, I thought the point of the clip was just a joke about the new Webby being autistic myself. She made some elaborate backstory and get too "into it" while the others were playing like normal kids.
