Have you ever had to drop a book because of the artist?

Man, what happened to Bachalo after the 1990s
Not yet, but I definitely would, depending on the artist. I've picked up books because of artists, so the opposite is just as possible.

Anything Land is on or old JR JR
Squirrel Girl. My waifu power is as strong as it gets. I even mailed snail mail begging for a solo for her. But I had to tap out.
I can't believe it's been nominated for 3 fucking eisners.
bachalo is Marvel's gift, in the same vain of smallwood, del mundo and immonen
ANAD Silk. I loved the writing and the characters but Tana Ford's art was fucking awful. There would be times when they would get fill-in artists and they would be 1000x better.

>like the art of a book
>6 issues in
>art changes
>drop
>art becomes good again after afew issues
>it gets changed again
fucking titans
> hating Bachalo
how do people get these wack-ass opinions

He's like a much more talented Ramos.

Justice League Dark. Liked the idea but couldn't into the poser.

I'd add Deodato to this list.
The ANAD She-Hulk. I know I'm not the only one.

he should beg Kelly to finish Steampunk

I didn't even pick it up because the art was so bad, and I really wanted to. I'm surprised you even bothered, given how shitty Pulido's interiors were.

The 'extreme' 90's start of X-men and New mutants as drawn by Liefield and co had me stop with my buying them. Part of that reason however was due to the X-men team being strung across the globe with memory loss due to the Siege Perilous arc, so the book was literally without a team for nearly a year.
I also didn't like Cable as an introduced character. His opening storyline was too forced with "yeah, he's always been around and has been a badass. Even Wolverine agrees."
So it was a mix of what I thought was poor writing along with artists that drew too many muscles and pouches and not enough feet. I made the switch to DC then.

He's just not on that Del Mundo level
Immonen, yeah.

I powered through the first two issues because I really liked Soule's Red Lanterns and Swamp Thing and thought the concept was good, but yeah, I just couldn't enjoy it with that fucking art so I stopped trying to force it after those two.
