I've never watched the show buuuuuut...

Every gemstone is actually a different method of cooking crystal meth, Steve is actually a 40ish year old man who's brain has rotten so severely that he's now a vegetable who can only dream of his youth where he first experience "it's a hell of a drug" each adventure he goes on represents how much deeper he's fallen into the darkness, also his mom is so fat cause she herself had a drug problem, and sold herself to get more drugs and in doing so got knocked up a bunch of times, the villains of the show represent the sibling rivalry Steve experienced growing up, and how these relationships further drove him over the edge.

Also theres some kind of DBZ fusion dance shit going on or something.
