Yes. For starters, Sue is more memorable and marketable than the women Marvel currently has access to. And with DC knocking it out of the park with WW, they have enough iconic women to corner the super heroine market. Marvel needs more of their iconic women, and most of them are tied up at Fox between FF and X-Men.

The Thing is one of Marvel's more beloved longstanding characters, and fuckers would line up at the theatres if you promised them Hulk vs The Thing on the big screen.

The rights would also give them access to Doom, who in his own right would make a fantastic franchise wide villain the way Thanos does now once Thanos is out of the picture.

The rights give them access to the entire Skrull empire, as well as Galactus and Silver Surfer (As well as the other heralds), and many other cosmic threats that would help solidify an entire cosmic marvel line of films using the GotG as a familiar jumping off point.

Plus if they buy the FF and turn it into a mega hit, Fox may be open to working out a collaboration deal with the X-Men rights, which has the benefit of Marvel no longer shitting on them on the comics front and no longer pretending they don't exist.

I'm still convinced that Hickman was ordered to invent the Black Order because Marvel wanted to create some Thanos henchmen that the movies could use.

They were pretty stupid characters but Disney now sends checks to buy off the creators of characters who are used in the movies, so he'll probably get some money out of it.

Notice they're using supporting characters developed by a writer who signed a contract in the last decade (Hickman's Black Order) as opposed to the classic supporting characters for Infinity (Mephisto, Death, Eros, Adam Warlock). I'm almost certain this is to avoid paying as many royalties as possible. Hickman will get character royalties but no story royalties or something like that.
