The Ultimate Universe backstory is better. Filthy gyppo being better than everyone and being "opressed" by the """Baron"""" sucks ass as an origin. It's unrealistic, anachronistic, and anyone who's met Camp Gyppos can agree.

I'm more sick of every fucking comic writer whacking the guy off than I am of the Joker. I hope he stays a hero because they were pretty much writing him as a villain in name only anyway. Better yet I want him to go away for a while, ideally only resurfacing when someone has a decent story to tell with him.
