Make "Peter" actually be Ben Reilly, as originally intended.

Just tighten up Pete's motivation a little bit and make him idolize Tony less.

Ned, Flash and (maybe) Liz all have different names. Less Tony. Ned actually has a personality beyond being Peter's fat geeky friend. Ben is mentioned as a motivating force at least once. Ned allows Peter to vent the frustrations that come with being Spider-Man and actually provides insightful advice and help. The reenactment of #33 is given a better camera perspective to capture to real gravity of what's going on. No Tony voiceover. Instead, he thinks about the fear of leaving Aunt May behind, maybe says something about Uncle Ben, how he can't let them down, whatever, and actually struggles with the debris a bit more prior to releasing himself from it. No MJ bit at the end. Everything else can stay as is.

That "interrogation mode" gag was something straight out of a cartoon for 7 year olds. I'm not saying Spidey should be edgy and r-rated but make a movie for all ages, not for kids.

That's dumb. What Spidey brags about the most is his "proportionate strength of a spider" and his spider sense. He literally boasts about it all the time when decimating mooks on the comics.

Sad to see MCU reduce his whole powerset to web gimmicks. Spidersense barely worked in the movie too. It's just too good of a power and they need to keep him the "inexperienced hero"

The fat kid is his bestfriend and the guy he vents too when shit is getting bad. He's basically the audience stand in. Even give him hints of getting his own powers or being a miracle.
