>Comichron and ICv2 have teamed up for a joint report on the financial state of the comic book industry in 2016 and they found that the sales are actually up. Total sales clock in at a jaw-dropping $1.085 billion, up 6% from 2015. But it wasn't digital sales or cash transactions for single issue comics driving the growth. It seems the additional $55 million in sales can all be attributed to graphic novel purchases from book stores.

That's good, hopefully it means more money invested into the comics to make them better, but that's likely not going to happen
