Like all Netflix shows, it seems to be the result of several algorithms and focus groups and poorly attempts to mask this with more "mature" content (i.e. more swearing). But because it contains cloying attempts at sentiment and "Character moments", /co/ eats it up. Same with Bojack.

It's a great show. First season was a 7/10 but Second season was a legit 9/10. The voice acting is incredible. The classroom argument scene with Frank and Sue felt so fucking real holy shit
