Pretty much yes. If you enjoy cartoons that have some gem-like jokes that work along with character interactions, then this show has them, although some episodes can be hit or miss. The pacing was one of the main problems that drove people away from the show, but the crew had addressed that the pacing got tamed later on, and starting with the recent bomb episodes, the episodes don't feel like the journey is half over in the first 3 minutes. Honestly for me, the show itself now just keeps me wanting to watch more of it and see what happens next.

It's a whimsical adventure-style show, that I think has strong hits and middling lows. It taps a little hard into '80s and '90s nostalgia, but what's old is new again, especially on Cartoon Network. The show has pacing issues, but these newer episodes honestly have better batting averages for fast-paced jokes to stick.
It also throws a lot of diverse designs at you, if you're into the waifu/husbando scene. They're not complex waifus, but it seems like there's a mission statement to throw out design ideas like mad and cram them in any story they can, which is novel in its own way.

I'll freely admit, that's most of the reason I gave it a look, but I stayed around because it was fun and the characters were decent.
I especially like how Princess Z is acting as a patron to the siblings, sending them on adventures where they profit with a magisword and paying them anyway. She's building them up, and it doesn't feel like she's just this Deus Ex Machina.

I get what SU is trying to do, but I feel like they're forcing it too hard. They want to make us care about these characters so that we feel connected to them so we know what Steven is really trying to keep safe. Like I said though, they're trying too hard by putting them into the focus of the episode and breaking the entire story for characters we don't care about yet, which makes us actually start to dislike them for keeping us from what we really want to see.
As hard as it is to believe, Magiswords manages to do a much better job at this when it isn't even that kind of show. I can honestly say I feel more compassion for and overall like Witch Way and Phil the Pilferer than I do Lars and Ronaldo.
All this is coming from an unbiased but huge fan of both SU and Magiswords equally.

They're a little hard to find. Generally speaking,(even though I just uncovered frame-by-frame on VLC)Mighty Magiswords saves on smear animation for unimportant scenes with these one-frame brush stroke transition "smears", and that's when they're not snapping from pose to pose like with Morbidia.

For those with problems regarding the pacing of the show, apparently "The Cave of Gelatinous Doom" is their first episode with the new pacing speed that they're going to shoot for from now on.
