Overall:

It's easier when you're in an enclosed simulator that when you're on an AI controlled trackless vehicle in a room with 3 other cars though. I think the ride suffered a bit from being rushed which is why it has the sloppy immersion breakers.

I was surprised at how much the new Star Tours is improved. They're 25 year old ride vehicles but the new animatronics and the random adventure really improve it. Even if getting attack by Darth Vader, going back to Episode 1, then going to a scene from Ep 7 was kinda lollersome.

They counted the queue and closed the doors at midnight. I got there at 10:30PM. At 1AM a DJ came in and confirmed everyone in the room would get into the main stage room. Then proceeded to play loud music for an hour while people tried to sleep.

My friend and I were just leaving and then heard him say that everyone was confirmed to get in. When they handed out the wristbands my friend and I were one of the very first people to get wristbands for the streaming room and not the main stage.

We said fuck it, left, sold our tickets, and never looked back. I read on the subreddit and other places on the internet that it was the most poorly organized Star Wars Celebration of all time and it took hours for lines to get anywhere.

It was my first big con and it definitely made me never want to go to another one, even though this one was supposedly one of the most poorly managed big conventions ever. Which is sad because I really wanted to go to D23 and decided not to after SWCO.
