So for a while their have been female versions or proteges of famously male superheroes such as Supergirl, Batgirl, at least one female Robin, X23 etc.. Then, more recently, there have been examples where women just outright replaced men, such as with W'hor.
I'm wondering if there are any examples of the opposite, where a famously female heroine has a young man as a sidekick or a male takes on the name of a former female heroine?

Hank Pym as Wasp
In the early 80's Steve Trevor became "Captain Wonder" for a short time.
Zatanna had a younger male cousin, but she is a legacy of her father so maybe it doesn't count.
Similarly Stargirl had her stepfather as her sidekick, but she is a legacy of the Star Spangled Kid who was originally male.

In the Threeboot LoSH run there was a Dream Boy after Dream Girl died, but I don't remember the specifics.

He took the name of her dad. You know, a male.

She's more famous and definitive than her father so I'd say it counts.

While I'd love to have more female superheroes with male sidekicks, it would be hijacked by /ss/ fetishists rather quickly.

It wouldn't happen almost ever these days. Some banshee would harp on about MENZ taking over an established female hero's title or some shit, even if the female hero is still around.

partially, but also no straight man would want to replace a waifu with a guy
though of course most of the examples in this thread have been from the last 15 years so it's not like we're digging too deep into the past, it's never out of the question
