Alright, an honest to god character I'd like to see explored at some point is a realistic character moving at super speed. Superman gets a pass because he's indestructible, but let's address the red and gold elephant in the room:

for all intents and purposes, our speedster can move up to .999~C, not as fast, nor faster than the speed of light, but everything beneath it. His other super power should probably be the ability to perceive events at this speed as well, lest he walk into everything, so for all everyone sees, he's moving really fast, but in actuality, he's moving at normal speed, and his real ability is time dilation, everything short of a complete stop. Let's start off with taking it to the limit:

At .9C, or rather, percieving time so that an ordinary guy can run at .9, standing still he's blind and deaf. Sorta. Light doesn't move fast enough in this world to enter his eyes with any regularity, so he starts with a screenshot of the world as he saw it, and the second he moves, there may not be enough photons entering his eyes to convey the information of images. Sound moves much slower than light, and is composed of vibrations in the air. The air that is, for all he's experiencing, incapable of being moved with noticeable speed to convey sound. the second you speed up to near light speed, you become Hellen Keller. That's not even the worst part: Air doesn't have enough time to circulate around him as he breathes, and he's inhaling and exhaling so fast that he's breathing out a small cloud of poisonous carbon directly in front of his face that isn't diluting in the atmosphere fast enough to keep you from passing out in about 30 (relative) seconds. Assuming he even notices this, and isn't just in a panic over being robbed of his senses, the solution is rather simple: Take a step forward to clear the cloud of carbon, and take a deep breath.

And then comes the nuclear explosion.
>>
Force is a matter is mass times velocity. a telephone pole dropped from space can level a city, a pasty white irish size nine at near light hits the ground with enough force to cause a crate larger than Los Angeles, as the atmosphere around him cannot move fast enough to keep the oxygen molecules from shattering from the impact force he's exerting upon them, causing the atmosphere to almost ignite, if not for the fact that he's split several thousand molecules, and causes a nuclear explosion, and a big one at that. Let's assume he knows this, and knows such an explosion will vaporize him. At this speed, the nuclear explosion is expanding fast enough that the blast wave hasn't hit yet, so you avoid it in the easiest most logical fashion: take another step. assuming the atmospheric friction hasn't already baked him alive, this causes another explosion just to the right of the first. And another. And another. Every action he takes causes the fires to build, the seismic activity to intensify, and carves a ghastly scar into the face of the world as he takes a terrified jog down the block. No matter how many steps he takes, he will never outrun his doom, only further ensure it for himself, everything and one around him, and the planet in general, as the world will hit nuclear winter if he keeps this up much longer. Of course, he can't keep this up: For every action there's an equal and opposite reaction, his entire leg exploded from the force of impact the moment he took a step forward, leaving him a one legged enflamed blind deaf guy who may as well be mute, because as he screams in agony, the vibrations cannot move fast enough for him to hear his death rattle as the blast wave reaches him, finishing the job of his ill conceived step.

I want a speedster, who can use the speedforce to speed up himself and others around him.
For example, bane attacks this Speedster and tries to punch him. Speedster speeds himself and Bane up, he dodges Bane and Bane runs directly into a wall or into a jail cell.

This, and pretty much every speedster trope you could think of, were done in Wally West's character run in the 90s.
>>
So let's back up a second and turn down the dial for a bit. His sight returns automatically as perception of time decreases to something that light isn't seeming to stand still for.

breathing will still be a problem for anything less than .4, but the nuclear explosions stop at about .6. the biggest problem, besides the fact that moving at .4C still causes your bones to break from the sheer force of motion, is that the atmosphere is still going to ignite at least until you get well under 2500 M/s, the speed of a rail gun shot, which easily ignites atmo, sonic booms will still deafen you, anything more than mach one, and your body will be under significant stress, if not painful bone breaking agony until about 125 mph, when a man with decent bone density and durability can receive body blows at about this speed in boxing matches and not break anything. at this speed you can easily dodge most human abilities and weaponry, though bullets will remain an issue, they move almost as fast as you do. Another thing to worry about: Have you ever run a lap around your city? You will tire. Running faster only compounds this probem. Keep hydrated and wed, because you'll burn through calories quickly, not because you're working so hard, though there is something there, but mostly because an hour is five to you now, a day is almost a week. Try not eating for a day, and try jogging around your city. You will get to your pork and curse Grant Gustin for making this look easy.

FFS, Sheldon - it's a TV show based on a comic book. Either let it go and enjoy it or stop watching.

This is literally something Wally West did for years. So go read post Terminal Velocity Wally West.

Realism in comics = equal what you see in real life. No supernatural or metas or mutants or magic. No gods, time travel. nothing.

It's just an amusing concept to me. Ironically the thing the flash on CW almost got the most right is the scene where Cisco dies pre time travel. It does not matter how fast you vibrate your molecules, you may be able to enter someone else's body, but only because you violently shove their mass aside like poking a hole in cream cheese. Attempting to walk through anything would have a "hot knife through butter effect" , of course, that's pretty useful for killing your enemies. or dispatching giant robots. the downside here is that you would never survive the attempt, your body would rip itself to pieces in the process.

Now, it's not all that bad being a speedster, even a realistic one. 125 mph is enough speed to get to any job you need to at a decent pace. You can slow down time as much as you want, so if you're careful, you can actually walk at this pace with no real problem, though that's gonna look kinda funny to any observer. at 125 mph and perceiving time to match, you could perform any law enforcement job admirably, you now have enough time to aim and fire a gun before anyone can get a shot off, you can dodge any human fist, and even if your physique isn't at peak human levels (your legs will be after about a month though....), you can throw a punch that would make Tyson blush.

At this speed, you can still make a huge difference, although, it might behoove you to actually volunteer for prosthesis at this point: You might actually want a pair of specially designed feet that can handle additional impact force so you can take it up to 150.

The moment he goes faster than 100mph, everything around him dies, and his body gets obliterated if he hits a complete stop
So he has the CAPABILITY to go that fast but if eh ever does he'd be dead because he's fast, not invincible
He'd have to preplan every single moment, every action and movement, like how a sniper isn't just a good shot, they have to do math and shit for every shot
He wouldn't be able to reach speeds of time dilation without obliterating everything around him and himself
So think of it kind of like slingshot from the AoS series, except way more calculated
>>
>>93863779
Then he'd have to account for stopping, friction, force, his own abilities
He'd be a master gymnast and parkourist in order to manipulate his own body perfectly at the right speed, wall running and shit, a mix between skill and power

Nah, Quantum Tunneling exists in reality.

You definitely could not do it at the macro scale like Flashes do but, you know, taking existing physics and stretching it isn't so preposterous.

I had a character with super speed but normal stamina, meaning he move his body up to 5 times as fast as a regular human but it tires him out much faster. He can only go for short bursts of super speed before having to take a break, leaving his body sore, hyperventilating and so on. So he goes to the gym to train his body and tries to improve his stamina, and while his brain can kind of keep up with his body, he still moves slightly faster than he can process what is going on because you know, adrenaline and all that, meaning running 60mph and not tripping up his legs took a lot of practice and is mostly muscle memory. He usually maintains 1.5 to 2 times normal speed and only goes faster when needed. All the other characters are weaker versions of popular super powers similar to the speedster.

On the plus side, time slows at will for him, so he CAN slow things down to 1/1000th regular speed, assess the situation, speed up to 1/10th, and proceed to kick ass.
