Cataclysm is where they fucked it all up. The overhaul of the old world in particular gutted a lot of memorable zones and made leveling an autopilot experience, new players don't even need to talk to anyone until they hit max level. They removed talent trees and gutted many classes. Later things like CRZ and LFR pretty much destroyed whatever little identity individual servers left. Not to mention, none of the new continents added have matched the atmosphere that Northrend brought.

It looked exactly like the male, used the exact same animations as the male and pulled even further away from the Aesthetic of the Trolls. Like I said, save for their casters, Trolls were fairly Athletic and they wanted to avoid making them too gangly.

They did the exact same thing with Tauren females, and if you look, the only female that looks even remotely like it's male counterpart is the gnome, and that's because they literally ignored the gnomes design.

Well, it helps that Sylvanas is a for-real general in addition to being a charismatic leader. The orcs (outside of the more canny ones who managed to outlast Garrosh like Saurfang) would probably accept her leadership as she's a much more martial figure than Vol'jin was. The blood elves (Lor'themar's reservations about her notwithstanding) largely still see her as a hero and a martyr. The trolls will follow because Vol'jin handpicked her as his successor. The goblins will toady to any leader if it keeps their position within the Horde secure. The Forsaken, of course, are all fanatically devoted to their queen.

Really, as always, it's the tauren who seem like they'd be the ones to resist an arguably evil leader. Not that Baine seems to loom very large in the scheme of things. Not like his father anyway.

Hearthstone is a great place to be used as an 'expansion' of WoW lore, when it isn't blatantly going against the lore for fun. Stuff like Ragnaros Lightlord and Deathstalker Rexxar are obviously no canon, but expanding the Explorer's League or exploring Gadgetzan is fine being canon. The city sizes in game (such as Ogrimmar or Stormwind) are already nowhere near as big as they'd need to be, so why can't Gadgetzan be bigger in lore than in game?

Same thing with the Tortollans. Tortolla the turtle Ancient already exists, so it's likely he has a race in his image just like Agamaggan, Ursoc/Ursol, Niazhou, and Aevinna have.

I mean, every instance of them appearing has always been by some form of magic. They were summoned into Azeroth during the War of the Ancients. Kil'jaeden appeared to Ner'zhul in a guise as a spirit. The Orcs communicated with them by Portals. Archimonde was summoned into Azeroth by Kel'thuzad. Kil'jaeden was summoned into Azeroth by Kael'thas.

Like it seems so out of place after establishing a whole lot of magic shenanigans when it comes to them apearing.

An Old Gods/Azshara South Seas expansion has been brewing for years mate. Personally I'd like a mixture of underwater shit and islands. Kul Tiras for the Alliance, Kezan/Undermine for the Horde, shit like Tel Abim, Zandalar, Plunder Isle, raid in Nazjatar, tons of fun.

That's because Worgen fucking suck and Goblins are great. Worgen are purely furrybait. At least with the THICC pandaren there's an element of parody of sexualizing fat pandas. Worgen are DARK and SERIOUS and TORTURED by their dual nature, so of course the edgelords flock to them.

...did you actually play the Worgen start area?

The "struggle" was just them trying to keep sane in the first twenty or so quests after being bitten. After that it shifts to being a hippy in touch with nature and not fighting it once the Night Elves show up.

The "dark" and "edgy" ones are the NPCs from the Forsaken 10-20 zone that show up at the very end, and they're unchanged other than not being enemies.

I'd hybridize the best ideas of both of these maps.

Kul Tiras would be the starting zone/city for the Alliance
Kezan/Undermine would be the starting zone/city for the Horde.
Leveling zones would include Tel Abim, Plunder Isle, Zandalar, maybe an entirely new island, and a couple of the underwater naga zones. Maybe toss the Wandering Isle in as well? Additonally an underwater underground Nerubian zone/dungeon would be pretty sweet too. Ny'alotha would be a zone added in later.
Raid tiers would start with some Pirate/Naga/Cultist stuff at first, then a Zandalar final troll raid, then a Nazjatar Azshara raid, and ending with a Ny'alotha raid ending with N'zoth.

See prior to WoW the Legion were just demons but could be totally killed (I mean they could also be banished) in mundane ways. Archmonde got spirit bombed but Mannoroth just got his skull cleaved in two and he was dead forever.

Then come WoW and demons are reborn in the nether after they die in the mortal realm.

Then WoD introduced alternate reality everyone and ONE GUY who worked for Blizzard but I don't even remember what his actual position was said that demons are infinite.

Now come Legion the Legion is powered not by being "demons" but by having their souls bound to Argus itself and once we "free" Argus the demons can't respawn anymore/don't have Sarg to punish them so they scatter.

The Legion has existed for a long time and as a result got changed constantly.

Even the best private servers are buggy and inaccurate. Little things that can fuck up gameplay like windfury not working exactly 100% like it did on retail can suddenly cause horde to be worse than alliance for PvE. There were a bunch of spell coefficients that got fixed only recently, this is basic shit that's off.
