Just read the Venompool issue. It was pretty good. Strychalski's has gotten much better at drawing Gwen, and her art seems to have improved substantially in general.

The way the comic jacks off other heroes can be grating, sure, but I appreciate that they don't shy away from making Gwen the loser NEET she is.
It actually made me read a few of the books advertised in Gwenpool, but they were all terrible, which is a shame.

I talked to tom taylor at a con last year and when talking about wolverine he mentioned that he is hesitant to start anything that'll take too long to tell (7-10 issue story arc) because every couple months marvel asks him to put characters in his book. Specifically he mentioned needing to include captain marvel or iron man while civil war 2 was going on even though he wanted to try and avoid events during his run and how he's been asked to include jane foster thor before as well.
