This will seem like I'm copying off you because they were on a team together but Elsa Bloodstone probably is my favorite obscure /co/ girl. Like Lara Croft on meth, her attitude is hilarious and her fighting skills are hilarious

But every character, except for Boom Boom, was great in Evolution.

It's the price I, willingly pay. Evolution was/is the best X-men cartoon to date with great characters practically all across the board. Logically, there has to be at least one shitty character. In Evolution's case, that role befell to Boom Boom. Unless she was written intentionally to be an insufferable cunt in every way imaginable, in which case she was very well written and they did a great job in making me hate her.

I like Sun Girl because
1) she's an ordinary human with some basic gadgets who nonetheless punches way above her weight, mostly due to giving absolutely zero fucks
2) she incredibly heroic and is always willing to suffer or die to protect the innocent
3) she has actual flaws (mostly being overly aggressive and an incredibly pushy bitch)

Cool powers, cool design, cool personality. Loa is probably the most criminally underused of all the recentish X-Men students. There were so many potentially great characters from Academy X that got depowered, killed or shoved into the background and she's one of them.

Tying her into Namor is one of those out of left field ideas that actually worked too.

Yeah, at the end of the AvX arc she decides to stick around at the Academy which was kind of pointless because I think that book ended not long afterwards. Would've preferred her as part of the main roster over fucking X-23. She did have a nice moment in that arc where she uses her powers to basically create a "wave" of Earth so Mettle can surf which he hasn't done in a long time and Hazmat's so happy she runs up and hugs her.

Shit like that is what makes me want to see her. There's a lack of genuinely chill characters who get along with people really easily and it's kind of what makes Loa unique. She'd probably boy a total bro in any group.

Recently re-read Adam Warren's run on Gen13 again and it's legitimately one of my all time favorite comic book runs with Voodoo Doll being probably my single favorite character from the entire thing. She's got a great power but I'd imagine other writers having a hard time with it and probably defaulting her personality to "bitch" instead of "nice but indifferent and catty towards everything".
