Yes. I understand that we are still in the nucanon's infancy, but I feel like we are not getting enough content outside of Rebels. We are getting far more novels than the mid 90's, but it still hasn't reached the heights of the mid-2000's, when LucasArts was practically shitting new things out every week across every front. We have exactly 1 real game 3 years in, with another game, the sequel, set for release during the holidays. Maybe I'm just spoiled from reading weekly manga for so many years, but it feels like the comics are releasing at a snail's pace as well.

It's not the end of the world for me. but I sort of miss being overwhelmed with star wars material.

I think the problem is that they're making it so based around the saga films. Like we're never going to just get a random little story like Shatterpoint, it always has to contribute something to the backstory of the movies. They need to do more stories like a little 2 issue comic about a Sith during the time of Darth Bane, or a short story about one of Luke's Jedi, or a book about some random Clone Trooper squad you've never heard of before.

I'm actually going to double down on Gaillus Rax being the guy who "Snoke" possessed, as it explains a LOT

I think the reason there isn't as huge of an influx of material is because of the story group. To my understanding, the old EU was basically the wild west where authors could release any kind of story they wanted set in the Star Wars universe and Lucasfilm could iron out the continuity later. Nowadays everything has to be carefully monitored so it is all tied together. The latter makes for a much more unified and satisfying story, but it's at the expense of a large amount of content and creativity.

I personally love it. It makes the whole universe feel alive and connected, where everything is a tiny part of a massive whole, and anything can come back. Rogue One was full of references from other parts of the canon, for one. I think this is massively preferable over something like the MCU where only the movies are absolute canon - here, everything feels important.

Droid Landing ship. The droids are waaaay more packed in there and are probably much more capable of sending out more forces more rapidly compared to what the Republic could do.

I bet living in the outer rim would be hell as a few landing ships could overrun any undefended city and force a disproportionate amount of Republic resources to liberate the area.

I'm betting if there was no Sheev interference and the CIS forces were allowed to do whatever they wanted they would have won the attrition game by a huge margin. Just imagine a landing ship showing up and forcing the local population to make a basic droid factory. The Republic had a bigger navy but they couldn't cover every planet at once.

It would depend on whether or not the Death Star is mainly superstructure.

If it's simply protected by an outer hull, you simply send the fleet on a specific section and disable it's defenses until they can no longer target you unless the death star is equipped with some sort of projectile that rotates. Then you set the fleet on orbit then focus fire and tear a hole through it's hull. after that you'll probably disable an entire section of the ship.

If the Hull is backed by several destroyers worth of armor / structure, then you could could spend weeks trying to melt through it with little success.

I actually kinda like this smol pod. The troop transport itself is cobbled together from various assorted craft, so jury rigging the cabin section into a scout craft makes some sense.

Also I want MK2 B-Wings to actually appear so badly. If anything should be recycled from the OT it's them, now that the bluescreen issues that stopped them from being used to full potential are no longer an issue.

But ruling out the Prequels is pretty major. Until 2015, that was literally 50% of the movies. Ruling out TCW, Rebels, and the books/comics is basically half the franchise, if not more. Hell there are "fans" that don't even like ROTJ.

When you only like 2/8 movies, and none of the Canon media, can you truly be considered a fan? I'd say that's a hard 'no'.

Disliking the Prequel Era is a pretty significant thing too, because you're essentially ruling out the entire side of the franchise that doesn't just follow the ANH/ESB aesthetics with X-Wings and TIE Fighters. Star Wars is more than just the OT, as JJ and so many others fail to understand. If you only like the OT-reminiscent side of things, are you truly a fan then? That's still very debatable, because that rules out at least 50% of Canon media right there.

Do you see the problem here? The main argument for being a "true fan" while still hating large portions of the series is;

>I played Sonic 06 as a kid and I loved it so. Yeah I know everyone says it's an abomination, but they're just nostalgia fags for the 2D games. Real Sonic fans appreciate how Sonic 06 pushed the game series into a whole new dimension and really gave us what Sonic was really about the whole time

I once was reading a list of top 100 video games of all time - KOTOR was on the list, and for that game's blurb, the author of the list said something along the lines of "the best thing since the Star Wars trilogy (what? There are prequels? Never heard of them)"

I don't think there's anything more disgustingly obnoxious in a fandom than the mentality of "I don't like thing therefore thing doesn't exist."
