In retrospect, this might be the best DC cartoon ever.
Nah. Justice League and obviously Batman are in a class all their own. I'd put Superman around Teen Titans.

In retrospect, the DCAU was a hanky piece of crap run by a pair of idiots who were making shit up as they went along.
It might be the best DCAU cartoon, but it's not the best DC cartoon.
BATB was easily better.

Batman had way more shit episodes than Superman did.

It wasn't shit, but you're not wrong. Very overrated as a universe and did a lot of characters disservice.
>>93841598
In retrospect that is how most superhero comics were made as well.

>Blinks with one of his four eyes when talking
How does that work?
DC had a great ramp up starting from Batman TAS, then improving with Superman TAS, then New Batman TAS, culminating in their Justice League / Unlimited. I've recently watched the whole set of em, and the improvement over 6~ish years is pretty awesome.

justice league beyond 2.0 is part of DCAU and ruined wonder woman..

It's good but it's also easy to overlook.
STAS is more consistent than BTAS in terms of quality, but it also never reaches the heights that BTAS reaches in its best episodes. Add in the fact that it came just early enough, with less replays than BTAS, that far fewer of the kids who watched JL/U and Batman Beyond were actually exposed to STAS very much.
STAS is underrated, but I wouldn't call it the best even of just the DCAU (love me some Beyond.)
