I think this is one of the few western cartoon parodies that gets otaku shit right, the parodies are mostly cringe stuff like mocking the "bad" animation even if the specific cartoon looks way worse than the average anime, or making fun of Pokemon or another imported Japanese craze like that awful Simpsons episode, or joking about how obscene and violent those Chinese cartoons are if you compare it with your mom and pops all American cartoons

Though it helps modern cartoon writers grew up with anime.

Mabel not only didn't learn ANYTHING from her constant shitty behavior, the moral wasn't "Don't hold your brother back from his dreams" it was "Force him into mediocrity so you feel better".

She spent the apocalypse in a damn pleasure-bubble, and then got everything in the finale, even keeping the damn pig.

That's why people hate Mabel. She made a shit ton of mistakes and yet never gets called on them, instead other people are made to feel bad for her because she's cute.
