Nah, he was a pretty terrible choice. I remember reading a story about Johnny Depp being approached to play the lead role in the GR movie.

The movie was my introduction to the character, and I liked it so much that GR is now one of my favorite capes in the big two.

Years later, I came to learn that only superficial details of the story were faithful to the comics, but I still have a special place in my heart for it, nevertheless.
