I missed all the threads because I didn't want to be spoilered and once I saw the whole thing.
I gotta say I enjoyed it. It's completely different from Vol. 1 because it doesn't have to spend time introducing characters. I know it's not the best movie ever but I really appreciated what they did. Also Kurt Russell was a great villain and that moment where Peter was just told Ego put that tumor in his mother's head and he went straight to murder mode tugged at my heartstrings.

Still haven't settled on ranking but here's my ratings. (1-10 scale with 5 being truly average. Not great but not terrible. It's a movie where you could have spent some money and not hated yourself afterward).

1. Iron Man 1
>9/10. The movie that started it all. And building it around RDJ was a huge risk at the time.

2. Incredible Hulk
>7/10. COmpletely different from the prior Hulk movie that came before. I enjoyed it.

3. Iron Man 2
>6/10. The movie gets better with every rewatch but they should have pushed Tony's alcoholism full force.

4. Thor
>7/10. Not quite what I was expecting but good.

5. Captain America: First Avenger
>8/10This seriously felt like an Indiana Jones movie, but in a good way.

6. The Avengers
>Can't provide a solid rating because my mood changes so much towards this.

7. Iron Man 3
>5-6/10. Needs some work.

8. Thor: The Dark World
>4-5/10. Needs more work.

>7/10. Probably most contraversial rating. I know many Doctor Strange fans were unsatisfied but as a newcomer I felt it was a great stepping stone.

15. Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2
>9/10. I enjoyed this more than the first one.

16. Spider-Man: Homecoming
>6/10. The movie does a lot of things right but also gets a lot of things wrong. I don't blame the actors/actresses acting ability, I blame the script writer and whoever was in charge of casting as the sole culprits. Also Michael Keaton was a boss.

I haven't seen Spiderman yet.

Most MCU are technically good, in a sense where they're competently made. It's just that they're formulaic, don't take risks in terms of tone, and are essentially Comedies disguised as Superhero films. The only MCU movie that's ever made me feel emotional and actual inspire me, is The Winter Soldier. The First Avenger comes close, but it's pacing gets weird in the second half.

1. Captain America: Civil War - 10/10 for me, one of my favorite movies. Simultaneously, the best Cap movie and best Avengers movie.
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 10/10, god-tier, possibly better than Civil War but I enjoy this one a little less.
3. Iron Man - 9/10, Favreau's direction is superb and RDJ IS Tony Stark
4. Guardians of the Galaxy - 9/10, Gunn did a good job bringing these characters to life, if the villain was better I would've put this above Iron Man.
5. Ant-Man - 8/10, I had a lot of fun with this one, and Paul Rudd was undeniably the best part.
6. Captain America: The First Avenger - 8/10, it's got a pulpy vibe to it that I really like, action is great too.
7. Avengers: Age of Ultron - 8/10, I personally prefer it to the previous Avengers, and I loved Spader as Ultron.
8. Spider-Man: Homecoming - 8/10, I saw it yesterday and loved it, Holland was great as Peter and Spider-Man and Keaton was awesome as the Vulture.
9. Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 - 7/10, didn't like this as much as the previous movie, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless, Yondu and Ego are the best parts.
10. Doctor Strange - 7/10, I enjoyed it as someone who's never seen Doctor Strange, however, they definitely wasted Mads as the villain.
11. The Avengers - 6/10, this was great when I first saw it in the cinema, but I think it gets worse every time I watch it.
12. Iron Man 3 - 6/10, kind of underwhelming but there is some stuff I like. I really didn't like the Mandarin twist.
13. The Incredible Hulk - 6/10, I liked Norton and Roth, but it can be a bit boring at times.
14. Iron Man 2 - 4/10, such a disappointment, it was just a set-up for The Avengers.
15. Thor - 3/10, I'm surprised this was as underwhelming as it was, I did like Hemsworth and Hiddleston but they couldn't save the movie for me.
16. Thor: The Dark World - 2/10, it's hard to pick out what was good in this movie, though, I will say the final fight was somewhat entertaining.
