Can someone recommend good non superhero comics?

Try webcomics, most of them aren't superhero related.

The old Donald Duck & Uncle Scrooge comics are right up Bone's alley, or I should say Bone is up their alley. Also, the webcomic Digger.

Asterix. The first 20 or so are pure gold but the original writer died and it kind of slowly spirals out of control.

Tintin is a fun adventure series. Hellboy is also great, as is most of that universe. The Goon is good too.

I've always liked the Aliens comics from darkhorse. Pick up an omnibus see if you like anything. The Adventure Time comics are pretty cool if you liked the show at all. Prophet is really cool if you like sci-fi.
