What do you think of Avatar Press?

Their comics suck but I like them just because they're not afraid to be edgy and retarded in an era where everyone else is trying to be taken seriously. They have that anything goes spirit that attracted me to comics in the first place.

Because Avatar Press comics sell like shit, even the ones with Alan Moore's name on them, so they don't have any money to actually print trades.

You know how a Marvel comic is failing if it can't sell above 20,000 issues? An Avatar comic is considered a success if it can sell around 10,000.

Warren Ellis' Avatar Press works are damn good, and sorely underrated.

Having said that, Avatar Press itself seems more obsessed with pushing Crossed than any other project they publish.

Maybe if they get their shit together I'll come back.

They've made good stuff in the past.

Ferals, Black Summer, Captain Swing, Extinction Parade are just some of the good shit they've put out.

I really wish they'd continue with Extinction Parade.
