Because companies grow ever greedier, and nowadays want to be as cheap and cut as many corners as possible. Of course, making a profit will always be a company's number 1 goal, but we've got to a point where they're basically just sending low effort garbage our way because the average consumer has no taste or critical thinking skills and will eat anything they throw at them.
In CN's case, the early 2010 shows were the last batch of shows with effort put into them(Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball), now it seems CN will prioritize stuff like Teen Titan's Go, Nu-PPG, and Mighty Magiswords, basically shows which can be produced on a shoestring budget but still "get by" in terms of ratings.
