DC movies have fantastic music so far this is true. But Marvel actually do have a good theme and some great music a lot of it is very generic though.

One of the cooler things i think they mostly stopped doing was post Avengers 1 Cap 2, Thor 2 and IM3 all had a unique version of the Avengers sounding theme for themselves.

The Winter Soldiers theme is great.

The Marvel Studios logo theme is actually pretty great for a short catchy tune.

I an agree a lot of it sound similar its the same type or orchestral sound a lot of the time with not much real variation but having that amazing Orchestral recording of the Spider-man theme hopefully means they can start doing some cooler stuff going forward.

The BvS soundtrack is trash outside of Luthor's theme. The WW theme is so bad that Patty Jenkins practically had to hide it in the action scenes of the soundtrack so it wouldn't distract too much.

MoS score was good, though. It implies a much better movie then what we got.

As someone who owns the MoS soundtrack, it's only kind of decent. What Are You Going to Do When You Are Not Saving the World? is the only track that stands out in my mind, the rest I have to be listening to/have heard recently to remember anything about. Never sat and listened to BvS's, but it seems good.

Ant Man. Christophe Beck has done the only memorable superhero theme since The Incredibles in that. Homecoming and Doctor Strange have some good Giacchino tracks but they're pretty far from his best work. Alan Silvestri did some good work on Cap 1 but his Avengers score is weirdly subdued in comparison.

Eeehhh. I remember the violin part of Wonder Woman's theme but not much else. MoS didn;t better anything that John Williams did. The rest is your standard modern Zimmer soundtrack, sounds decent on its own but you barely notice it in the film. We'll see if Elfman still has any of the old magic left in him for Justice League but he honestly hasn't done a truly great score since Hulk.

I honestly think it has to do with the reactions to the tone of BvS. They're probably having Elfman do a really "heroic" sounding score.
It'll never happen, but since Shirley Walker worked so closely with Danny Elfman on a lot of his superhero stuff like Burton's Batman and also wrote all the music for BTAS and STAS (as well as Batman Beyond), I'd fucking love it if Elfman made the movie sound like her work on the DCAU.

It's fucking genius how Beck incorporates the size changing gimmick into the score itself, while also making something that sounds like the main riff of a heist film.

DC movies so far have had better themes. If anything i've always complained about Marvel for its the lack of standout recurring themes for their characters. It really adds a lot as cheesy as it is.

Looking forward to future DC movies now, MoS and BvS were OK and had great action scenes, but they just fucked up the characters majorly. I can forgive Supes and the neck snap, he was left with no choice otherwise that family would of been flamegrilled in front of him.
