R-rated Venom or Animated Miles, what will do better financially?

>The most iconic late-80's through 90's character of all time in a feature length big budget Hollywood movie during the Golden Age of Superhero movie popularity.
or
>Token black Spider-Man in his own animated movie.
What do you think, OP?

they will both flop spectacularly
Nobody but SJW care about Miles and People want Venom as a Spidey villian first

You underestimate Venom fans, anon. Venom is so popular with normies it's a little shocking.
My waifus Cold War spy movie, let's call it Trouble

yeah but if you are gonna make a Venom without any conection to Spider-man its no better than the Halley Barry Catwoman

>its no better than the Halley Barry Catwoman
That's a bit of a stretch. A solo Catwoman movie not attached to Batman could have worked fine. The lack of Batman was not the problem. The issue was that the Halle Berry movie was so far from the source material that it literally wasn't even Catwoman any more.
Also, they haven't confirmed whether there's going to be a Spidey in the SONYverse or not. And it's just as possible that SONY might see the financial success of Homecoming and change their plans and just put it in the MCU.

Also from a basic film perspective it was terrible too. Horrible set design, costume design, acting, etc.

Sony definitely wants Holland in their movies seeing as he is destined to be spiderman for the next decade.

Live action generally does better than animation unless it's from Disney, Pixar, or Dreamworks. Venom has a lot of fans.
A Miles live action movie would actually do better, whether anons want to believe it or not. But since it's animated, the appeal is limited.
