It's also more he's not fond of the Phantom Zone. Remember earlier in the arc he was reeling from the same dark nightmares that were affecting Superman in that Phantom Zone-like shield Waller had.

Jurgens is not going to be the one who writes that particular story. I'm not sure Tomasi/Gleason would either since Supersons' dichotomy fits more into the type of wheelhouse of things Tomasi typically and apparently seems to like to plot/write. But Chris is The Cereal King's creation. And they've certainly not shy'd from the idea of tossing all the Robins into an issue as if they really were the big happy Batfamily tumblr envisions them as, which was happening even before Rebirth.

Meh, there are a lot of Superman books you can buy before it if you're looking for quality. Get it if catching up is your main goal, but I didn't even bother to read most of the storytimes after the first couple of issues and only read this one for Kenan.

I would say the Johns and Busiek stuff that starts in the mid 00s is a good modern jump in point.
