Don't let this derail the thread, but I'm curious on how people like the dynamic of these two in Rebirth? I'm two trades in and it is pretty good. Genuine chemistry for the most part.

Spurrier's run started off with Hope in a coma after a mission gone wrong. Cable was also stricken by the same virus that put her in a coma, so he put himself into clone bodies. Every time one would die, another would take its place.

It turned out that she hacked into the powers of another nearby comatose mutant and used her technopathic powers to impersonate her as MeMe

By watching from the sidelines and from another perspective she came to the conclusion that Cable's methods no longer work. So after Hope found the cure to the virus that was killing them both, she took over X-Force and kicked Cable to the curb.

sidenote: Fantomex figured out Hope's ruse and they had psychic sex while she was in the coma
