Am I the only one who wanted an animated series instead?

Same. The art style would be great as a cartoon. I don't see how they'll pull off stuff like the gorilla body in Netflix budget.
Dammit, I just want Hotel Oblivion already, Gerard.

I didn't know it was live action but still super stoked.

I wanted animation too. And I'm gonna be really disappointed if they're gonna try to make the live-action stuff super grounded. I'm hoping for something that doesn't even try to look real.

Unfortunate Events does well. And Netflix will give them a budget.

Still, pretty cool to see it get any attention at all.

If there's an IP that exists, just assume in general that Netflix is making a show out of it.

>tfw the ex-frontman of a memegroup is saving comics AND Nexflix
Gerard did it again the absolute madman!
>>93798480
Netflix has been pretty good with their shows so far but I think I'd prefer more comic.
>>93798480
I want the next fucking volume Way

HOTEL!!!
OBLIVION!!!
WHEN?!
>>93798480
I just want a real recorded full-length version of "The World is Big Enough Without You."
>>93798480
Damn, I didn't even know about this. Animated would have been dope, but after how well A Series of Unfortunate Events turned out I think they can make something suitably weird.

A YOUNG BOY
>live action
Half the comic's appeal was the art style, the atmosphere created within it.
While I concede that I said the same of the Hellboy adaptations, I have little faith in this based on its likely budget and the talent involved.
