This is the first and only MCU movie that successfully and organically intergrates its quips and jokes into the movie. Previous MCU movies always did that Whedon thing where a joke/quip stops everything dead in its tracks("Mr. Doctor"). I never noticed a moment like this during Homecoming.Peter at Liz's house is a great example. The scene is tense and sinister because Peter is shocked that Toomes is her father. The bit of humor in that scene comes from him not being able to take his eyes off Toomes during the photo with Liz. The humor is relevant to what's going on in the scene and keeps the momentum going instead of stopping everything in its tracks
