It's official guys
>Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie follows in the steps of The Wild Thornberries and Rocko’s Modern Life, which also received or are set to receive made-for-TV movies. One of Nickelodeon’s most admired series, Invader Zim, is also in the process of being adapted into a made-for-TV, feature-length film.
Neat, can't wait
>>93798276
>also received or are set to receive
There already was a Wild Thornberrys movie so I assume the article is talking about that. But it's weird that the article didn't mention the Rugrats or Jimmy Neutron movies.
why?
People actually liked this show?
>>93798560
Because it was good
>>93798560
nostalgia sells
>>93798276
Good god, how many Nick shows are being revived with TV movies at this point?
there's already like 3 fucking wild thornberrys movies, we don't need another
I'm a little worried Nick keeps announcing these projects but we have yet to see anything, outside of a few concept sketches for The Jungle Movie.
>>93798794
According to Variety the Wild Thornberrys will be redesigned by Craig Bartlett and Clint Bond
>>93798575
I fucking loved it. Especially the ghost girl episode.
>>93798276
Only now I know where that moustached man often posted is from. Thanks, OP
Is Tim Curry even healthy enough to participate? Nick scraping the bottom of the barrel for this crap though, even as a kid I hated The Wild Thornberrys. Klaspy Csupo's (or whatever) art worked well enough for Ahh Real Monsters and Rugrats but by the time Rocket Power and this were around I was sick of it. This show was just ugly to look at.
Why don't they give the only one without an actual movie or planned movie something instead of a show that's had plenty?
I hope all of these movies end with Avengers post-credits scenes to set up the Nicktoons DTV universe.
>>93799140
So are they going to be more or less hideous
>>93801988
I guess is easier to make new materia from a show about a family that travel arround the world that of a show about two brothers living together.
>>93802148
Yet CatDog got a movie
>>93802148
That doesn't make sense. Rocko got a movie, and all that essentially is is two guys hanging out.
Now they're pushing it
>>93802148
They had a Rock Opera that didn't make the cut
>>93799140
>>93802114
So, what you're telling me is the Jungle Movie is gonna end up being a Cross-Over, like the Rugrats Gone Wild?
Unless it comes with a Paul Simon song then forget about it
>>93801988
>>93802148
Wild Thornberrys at least can generate movie length plots that make sense. Angry Beavers is a gag show about two brothers getting into insane antics for eleven minutes. The only Angry Beavers plot that could be made into a movie was their God-tier Halloween special
>>93801696
Klasky Csupo's art really only worked well with Everret Peck's work on Duckman and that's only because it works to show off the ugliness of the world
>>93798662
When the fuck are we gonna get more MLaaTR or Angry Beavers then!?
>>93803749
It seems unfair that every original Nicktoon except for one has gotten a TV movie. Well, as my teachers taught me, life isn't fair.
>>93803707
This
>>93798276
>there might be a rocket power TV movie soon
Oh god kill me
>>93801696
>Is Tim Curry even healthy enough to participate?
That... that's a good question, anon.
>>93801696
Tim Curry is recovering, but he hasn't voice acted since OtGW. He's semi retired
>>93803808
Two of the three original Nicktoons didn't get movies. Neither Ren and Stimpy nor Doug did, unless you count the Doug movie that was made after Nick stopped having anything to do with the show.
Several other Nicktoons also didn't get them, like Aaaah Real Monsters. It just seemed to come down to whether or not the staff felt like making one.
>>93804015
We still might get an Angry Beavers movie.
>>93798276
I don't get why Wild Thornberries needs a movie?
I'd much rather a Rugrats movie that's them as adults and parents with kids of their own (as long as it doesn't lead into a reboot unless they REALLY fucking excel at it)
>>93801626
>has never known who Nigel Thornberry was until this moment
I can't even conceive this.
>>93804133
Fuck Peter Gaffney and Mitch Schaur for not making TV movies for their shows then. I count the Doug movie because it's still Doug. As for Ren and Stimpy, it did get another series, albeit a very shitty one.
>We are now entering a whole era of studios rereleasing 90s media in an attempt to cash in on nostalgiafags
>>93803748
I think it works for rugrats if you consider everything is very baby-oriented. I could imagine babies thinking their parents look like Didi and Stu do for instance. Sure all growed up ruins this but i consider them separate entities anyway.
>>93804016
Last I heard he's doing voice acting roles again so he might be if they can work with any special needs he has (Like more breaks for instance) If they do it without him it's basically not worth watching.
>>93804133
Unless you count the christmas special, I always considered that to be the nickelodeon Doug "movie."
Aaaah Real Monsters could easily do a movie in my opinion especially if they're smart and release it at halloween.
>MLAATR will never get a movie nor a S4 even though Rob is really up for it
Waifu bait aside, I legitimately like this show.
>>93804288
Oh definitely but Nickelodeon seems to be the only ones trying to do it right (Compare it to Cartoon network's reboot. Samurai Jack doesn't count since that was adult swim).
Also this isn't nickelodeon based but I wish Cartoon Network would at least air the dexter's lab movies they made one more time.
>>93798276
MARVELOUS
>>93804288
Those shows don't hold up at all.
>>93804288
Fads like this happen from time to time. It's not that much different than the awkward late 80s/early 90s period where they started trying to update classic cartoons (usually with kid versions) or the short-lived 80s cartoon revival thing.
>>93804133
I still think an Aaahh!!! Real Monsters movie sounds like a cool ideaMaybe go one step further and make it stop motion. The artstyle would fit pretty well with stop motion/spoiler]
>>93803617
Theres.... A cross over? Not sure if want
>>93804422
Catdog and Angry beavers fucking sucked
>>93805064
This site is 18 and up.
If this is true, they're really banking on a show that's been off the years for decades. It's mostly gonna appeal to Lost Media Wiki.
>>93804016
>>93804072
>>93804317
Still, does the audience really want to hear Nigel Thornberry slurring?
>thread isn't full of smashing macros
really /co/
>2nd Thornberries Movie
No, where the fuck is Jimmy Netruon Seasons 4-5 and a sequel movie? Better yet, where's ChalkZone? They'll bring back everything from Klasky Csupo but not those shows.
