The animated shorts based on the classic strips were better on FOX (back when it still pretended to be based on the magazine).

From what I've seen of MAD CN, they clearly don't watch most of the movies they parody.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but, is MAD Magazine still good now?

Fox's take was far, far better. Even if you're only comparing MADtv's shorts to entire episodes of CN's MAD, the shorts are better. CN's adaptation of MAD might have matched the look of the magazine more closely, but the writing was garbage, and some of the writers used the show to get their foot in the door for other projects, so their muck has spread onto the rest of the channel. The CN show might have had to pull back on its punchlines because of the channel's audience, but that's no excuse for their weak work (or their thin skin).

After two or so years Fox's show was MAD in name only. Kinda unfair to compare the two.

But to answer the question, Fox by a landslide. They had the music video parodies, Sopranos on PAX, the Spishak line of products, and the Depressed Persian Tow-Truck Man.
