Ditko would never agree to you trying to strong-arm people like that. You're not even giving any reason other than "Ditko", which is an appeal to authority rather than a cogent argument. Worse, it's an appeal to authority based on his reputation for works he made fifty years ago; he's been abundantly clear in his writing since then that he doesn't want people to buy his work simply because it is his work, but because it has merit.
If you can't prove Ditko's newer works have merit, you're failing him.
This thread went some weird places.

>DIY suicide
is there another kind of suicide?
>>93784131
Well played, friendo.
>>93784131
Assisted. Suicide by unwilling third party (suicide by cop at al). Accidental suicide. Suicide by coincidence (walking into a tornado etc.)
Suicide comes in a rainbow of possibilities. It's like the Skittles of violent non-natural death.
>>93784127
There is no weird. There is right, and there is wrong. There is good and there is evil. There is worth your fucking money and not.
Civilization is made of a series of deals, of exchanges of equal value, made freely. To simply DEMAND someone's opinion on the comic is evil. It MUST be exchanged for something of equal value.
>>93784182
You seem to have given the matter a lot of thought
Always remember to THINK!
>>93784188
I was talking about it suddenly switching tracks to discussions of suicide. It is an unexpected, non-ironic yet puzzling direction for the conversation to take so suddenly. When something seems beyond the definitions of expectation or normalcy, weird is a correct and effective descriptor. Now go help that other anon commit suicide , he seems to be having a hard time figuring it out.
do it
>>93784268
If I help him commit suicide, than isn't it homicide? And possibly murder?
I mean assisted suicide just sounds like murdering someone who really wants it.
>>93784380
Y'see, there is a lot of controversy surrounding the topic, because of two vastly different viewpoints on the subject.
>>93784712
That seems very inappropriate for Ditko. A is A. Murder is murder, and murder is evil.
>>93785318
Not matter the purpose? Even if murder is murder, it does have a purpose, and setting goals is part of setting things into action in the first place. So if a nurder can be proven right, then that murder is just a price being paid, isn't it?
>>93785318
Except in Mr. A it's not murder if they deserve it.
Yeah his covers have good reaction images

>strict objectivist
>has a kickstarter
WHEW
>>93788081
I don't see that as a contradiction. A kickstarter is funded by people who want to buy your stuff, it's not charity if you actually deliver the goods. It's just paying upfront for something that does not exist yet.
>>93784122
Ditko probably wouldn't agree, but if that is objectivism, it's retarded.
It's not an appeal to authority to buy a book of an author whose works you liked before. The probability that the new work is good is higher than for an author who produced consistently subpar works. It's as rational a choice as you could possibly make with the information that you have.
>>93784182
Fucking nigs and their assisted suicide privilege, mooching off law enforcement.
