To be fair in that aspect they were legitimately on to something but simply couldn't put the something actually good together. The internet has had a very odd influence in today's political spectrum with the Alt-Right and SJW Movement largely growing being created here. For fucks sake one of the nominees for President made a page about how a shitty meme is an anti-semetic symbol while the current President is shitposting more memes on twitter.

The internet and even 4chan itself has an odd line of influencing society but I have a bad gut feeling that what we're witnessing will be last years of the internet becoming the Wild West that it is. You could see this with advertisements and even the entirety of Germany fighting against Youtube and Facebook.
