I've done this actually. More so when I was little but I used to watch Franklin just to make fun of it. Nothing else was on tv, dvr didn't exist, vhs was too much of a hassle to rewind just to skip an episode or two of a show on a network i was watching so i just watched anyway and made fun of it.

I like Steven Universe because i'm kind of a pussy and cry at the drop of a hat but the fandom takes a LOT of the fun out of enjoying the show for me, so I usually let an airing session go by and bingewatch it in one day rather than watch as it comes out.

Now I like the show and would go so far to say that it's my favorite western cartoon currently airing but to say nothing will ever come close to it is extremely pessimistic and arrogant

SU took a lot of chances and is ambitious, and that's why it's generally pretty good. There isn't much airing like it that because shows like it because they aren't what the network generally greenlights. If the networks gave the greenlight to just some of the other potential series creators who are also interested in telling a story SU would have serious competition.
