Have there been any horror/supernatural themed books set in a futuristic world? Like, what if Lovecraftian cults existed in the Mass Effect or Deus Ex universes and shit. Almost all horror stories feature creepy buildings and swamps, but I don't remember reading anything that had a setting in a technologically advanced era.
I mean, how different would a Doctor Strange or Swamp Thing story be, if the world around them was filled of Star Trek tech and Blade Runner-esque replicants? Societies that live in the stars and have met other cultures. Shouldn't alien planets have their demons and supernatural beings? How come nobody has tried that? Alien magic has rarely been touched.
Some Clive Barker stuff that I don't really remember the name and wasn't particularly great.
have there ever been any Shadowrun comics? they'd have that.

Warren Ellis' Hotwire: Requiem for the Dead comes to mind.
The current Brink series by Dan Abnett in 2000AD also touches on cults in a sci-fi setting.

Are these Cyberpunk settings or "clean" ones? I'm talking about the latter, because I'm interested in the contrast.

Hotwire is very much cyberpunk, but Brink is set in space-bourne habitats and it's a plot point that these very cramped, "clean" environments are breeding grounds for cult activity. Art takes a while getting used to but it's really good stuff.
There's also the Judge Anderson: Psi-Division spinoff series, from the universe of Judge Dredd, which more often than not dealt with supernatural threats. Mega-City One actually gets enough yearly demonic possessions to warrant a specialized Exorcist unit.

Huh, thanks anon!
