(1) - Mutants defy labels by their very nature, but Magik like-likes intangible lesbian BFFs and metallic siblings... so bi at the very least. But I don't know what all that non-consensual under-aged gang-raping by demons makes her, other than jaded.
(2) - Her mutant power is to teleport to and from the Hell dimension of Limbo through her disk portals, Limbo exists outside of space and time, so she can travel any-where in the world instantaneously or any-when in time she wants.
(3) - Her private Hell dimension does exist inside her demonic-construct of a body, but she's no D-lister. She was trained as a dark sorceress in Limbo for half her life and has received white magic training by a past Dr. Strange since then. She also wields a sword made of soul magic, has a demon-lord final form, and can always teleport anyone into that dimension she's basically god of.
(4) - Do the eight years she spent in Hell count? Because for the rest of the world that was just a single second. But judging by the age-appropriate lesbian relationship she flirts with having, I'd say mid-to-late-twenties.
(5) - ... to see her enemies driven before her ... to hear the lamentations of their women ...

1. Magik spent all new mutants lusting over people. So probably bi.

2. She can travel through time-space. time travel, more often than not, results in unintended consequences so she only does it as a last measure. Limbo is a land without time and that sort of fumbles her teleporting disc capabilities.

3. Her powers are gimmick based, really. She's a God in her realm, but she can only teleport and throw minors spells at your face in real space. Her most dangerous skills are using her stepping discs as portals to limbo that can a: have small demonds jump from it and fuck with you or b. have the grab you and drag you to limbo (instant game over for most)

Her sword is a piece of her soul crefted by sorcery and disrupts everything magical in nature. But she isn't a particularly good fighter and she rarely has to fight magic with magic.

4. Which magik? The "real" Illyana died at 8 due to mutant AIDS, the classic magic died around 15 sacrificing herself to stop limbo from merging with real life (and bringing the real magik back into spacetime). Currently what you are seeing is a demonic clone of her created by her demonic teacher belasco, she's quite possibly inmortal, If artists every bothered to remember that.

Honestly I just want more new mutants era magik. Hot-headed, assertive teenager with a penchant for tomboyness and lots of hubris and weird high fantasy themes. Many New Mutants got their character arcs cut down at their height. Magik's arc was great, the only one that actually got to finish, but the whole comic wnet all over the place with it's arcs. We never really explored some of her more fucked up emotional stuff ie: she saw magneto as a father figured and flipped the fuck out when magneto didn't act like she expected, she was always prone to anger.

Current demon Magik changed form pure hate to comedic apathy, and I can't really connect with her as a character. Not with these current writers.

Dunno, I like her "demon persona". I got a thing for powerful hot bitches and she fits the bill. Plus, she wears bondage gear and carries a giant anime sword. How hard can it be for the to put out a solo? Even if you don't go for anything "mature", it's still easy to produce a fun book. Why go with Iceman of all people?
