So the Spawn movie is on Netflix right now. I do like how it didn't take itself seriously like the comic did and then there's also Micheal Jai White being based as usual. It took some liberties (Jason Wynn killing Al instead of Chapel), but it was decent-ish.
So how would you do a modern Spawn movie, /co/?

I used to love Spawn as a teenager, but when it started leaning harder and harder in a "spooky" horror direction instead of supernatural action I dropped out. That was around issue 100 when they killed Malebolgia.
So if it was me... basically make it a gory, R-Rated Dr. Strange. With more traditional hell shit instead of weird pscyhobilly freakout stuff. Less jokes, although there would be some Commando style one-liners.

You realize that was because Chapel falls under the Youngblood license, right? They just threw that in the comic because Image universe synergy early on to the comics.
