I think the most telling moment was in his Scream review I think it was. In it he basically confesses that he was the movie guy who recognized tropes and cliches and how that was his "thing." Like it meant something. As if everyone was too dumb to notice the black guy dies first and the slut gets killed too. He didn't know directors or film making. EVERYONE knew cliches and he no doubt just annoyed everyone with his prattle.

But like anything, there is some variety. A lot of Season 1 Simpsons episode really were mediocre or even shitty because the show hadn't found its footing yet, it was all, "Hey kids do The Bartman! Eat my shorts! By Bart T-Shirts!" pretty cringey. Even during the best years there were misses for jokes or episodes though they were remarkably few. Also remarkably few are good jokes and episodes in nu Simpsons but they do still happen. Every now and then if I watch a random episode it's actually pretty funny though most of the time it is definitely shit.

I wonder if based on his Terminator script Bobbo actually dislikes genetic engineering. Like being able to use gene therapy to make yourself smarter or more fit doesn't give him the same satisfaction he'd get from culling the inferior. Anyway, if he does dislike genetic engineering it's not hard to see why. Nobody would use genes that cause sight problems, obesity, diabetes, balding and a whole bunch of other traits that Bob clearly has.
