Worse. It just wasn't that good. Every opportunity to take a good next step was was wasted in the story and in the general writing. It's a shame because it looks like the animation studio really had fun with it, too; the visuals were the only good thing about this movie.

Sausage Party was solid, but I didn't personally like it. Too much "in your face" type of comedy.

I completely forgot that Ice age, Secret life of pets, and Rock Dog came out.

Rock dog! That's something I'd never remember in a million years. Ice Age, I guess, is forgettable too, but there's always bound to be some sequel to some 3D animation anyways, so that just slipped into the background.
