>PART 67 - FAR, FAR AWAY, IN ANOTHER GALAXY...
So far, we've been following two groups of heroes - Optimus Prime and his Autobots, who have just annexed the Earth for its own protection, and the daring, highly-trained special mission force G.I. Joe, who have been recommissioned to deal with that fact. But there are more heroes in the universe than that, and one of them is just now coming to Earth...

Looking sexy in silver...
This first issue is kind of weak. It gets a lot better once you get to see Rom's Bronze Age-y hammy dialogue contrasted with more naturalistic speech, and also see what an enormous dork he is.
>This one, the Dire Wraiths fear more than all others.
The advantages of making a convert invasion of Earth in 2016, eh?
It's these guys!
What a fucking nerd.
Fucked up.
It's kind of funny that the Transformers comics are careful to couch everything in pseudo-scientific terminology, and then Rom just straight up goes "yeah, the Wraiths are magic, deal with it".
God, I love Rom. He's one of the best characters in IDW.
Can't wait for the Rom vs Transformers miniseries.
I like the art in these. It's a bit like Adam Hughes or Terry Dodson.

>one of them is just now coming to Earth
Captain America?
>>93751595
Yeah, it's pretty good. Not my favorite, but it fits the tone.
>>93751595
What an insult to Hughes and Dodson.
Hmm. This guy.
Glad ROM didn't return to Marvel, they were going ro give him to Bendis.
>>93751637
Nice
Well, that's one way of getting inside...
>>93751693
The very idea of it.
On the other hand, maybe we'd have a Rom movie at this point if they did. Fair trade?
>FOR MY FAMILY

>that hand gesture
>l-lewd
Camilla's face here is... unpleasant.
Oh fuck, who's this?
Oh, right - check it out and support Bill if you have the funds to spare!
They came from Microspace! Still a riff on the popular science fiction of the day, but now more Guardians of the Galaxy than Star Wars, it's the all-new Micronauts!

>MCU casualfied quippy ROM
No thank you.
This is Oz. He's the leader of our little gang of heroes.
So, supposedly "Acroyear" is actually pronounced "Acroyer". Don't ask me why they spelled it like that.
Holy shit, it's Darth Vader!
>>93752318
What's the deal with the red indent in his stomach? Is it covering a hole or is it some kind of energy weapon?
>>93752401
It'sa powerlinx port.
IDW's Micronauts has a lot of weirdly sudden end-of-issue cliffhangers.
>>93751695
>Flag on the wrong side
REEEEEEEE
Acroyear is, undeniably, the best Micronaut.
So, fun fact: this guy, and Baron Karza, were both originally based on the Japanese Steel Jeeg toy with new heads and colour schemes.
>>93752659
ebin :^)
See what I was saying about Acroyear?
It's Antron! He's an ant who trons, I guess.
Acroyear is the best Micronaut, but Karza might be the best character.
>>93751711
Gunn would have pitched and made the movie.
Ugh but I don't want Bendis near ROM though.
Dun-dun-dunnnn.
Time for cuckoldry!
Also, I want this cover on a shirt.
I can't help but feel like this was a bit of a waste of one of the few named Micronauts toy characters.
whaaaaat
I think these covers were probably meant to be shifted back an issue.
This is the best part of Micronauts, tbqh.
Acroyear: still the best.
>>93753396
pfffffffft
Hmm. What's up with that?
This is genuinely entertaining, thanks OP
Whoops.
This fella.

Might as well...
To be continued in Revolution!
Up next: the one and only greatest hero of them all, and the best boy in all of IDW. It's Action Man!
>>93752401
Baron Karza's toy was made using the parts of a 70s-era super robot called Steel Jeeg. The hole's a holdover from Jeeg's design.
New thread's up. I'm happy, hope you're happy too!
