Just like with MLP there were some interesting character ideas that fit with the form of the characters (umbrellas being carried on the ponies backs instead of their hoofs) that were later on abandoned for the sake of making them more anthropomorphic or simply because they stopped caring and just made them all weird humans.

Not him, but back when SU first started people at my old high school (mostly edgy freshmen and sophomores) started trying to learn the ukelele and bringing them to school, playing basic ass chords in the hallways.

I don't give a shit what a cartoon character did, but it indirectly tarnished the instrument for me. A lot of these kids were pretentious and annoying as fuck (my school was a magnet school that tended to have richer and more liberally minded students, as most private schools in the area were church schools.) A lot were trans or pan, which i wouldn't care about except it was clear they were following a trend rather than truly being any of those things.

God Ihated high school.
