I've been thinking about the lore of the Bad Thing That Happened in Britain, and how interesting it is for a regular modern country thrown into a "magical" apocalypse, and how much it would benefit from the firearm situation (or lack of one) in Europe. Usually the meeting of magic and modern comes down to "just shoot them", but when that's thrown out the window we can focus a lot more on the more raw aspects of this. Sort of like how in Road Warrior everyone's using crossbows and the tiny bag of shotgun shells are considered valuable.

Thing is, the magic didn't effect being able to travel there, meaning they could still import or order stuff online if they wanted it.

They're Britbongestan, so stiff upper lippery is a national past time.
>>
Hey guys! Still trying to work on the RR cover. Also trying to get the pages on CSP set up. once done, I can start to sketch some actual pages!

On to the prompt:

We all know of the Justice /Co/mrads. But aside form Jetpack Viking and sometimes Manny Quinn there isn't much love for the members of the actual team. What's some adventures that could give some life to the team? When will we see Cheif Girly shoes Bow prowess? Atomic Esquire's Adventures of the countryside (The nearby park)? Captain Skinless' painless stroll through a saltmine?
>>
>>93721214
> the magic didn't effect being able to travel there, meaning they could still import or order stuff online if they wanted it.

I don't think that's as interesting, narratively speaking, unless people can come but never leave. Like a magic fog (lore reference!) that always winds you around back to the shore on the other side. Would be funny if they even stiff-upper-lip it so much that this becomes just a way of travelling across the island.

>"Oh yeah, we just go off in our boat into the magical cursed fog. It saves time."
>>
>>93721214
do these threads last a week before it gets archived?
>>
>>93721067
Gosh, that page is cute.
>>
>>93721299
The Brits are too prideful to ask for any outside help with any of this shit. They want their own organization for dealing with magical nonsense to deal with it using their own people.

If no one could get out, then the whole setting would just become a boring trap for characters.

It'd also become too much like Erin's situation.

The problem is there's too much focus on all the stupid insignificant minor details of "magic" and not enough "hey, what if we did a story about X in magical Britbongestandsterous".

It's why there's nothing solid on the whole setting.
Story first, lore building later. Let the "lore" be built up by the stories that take place there rather then have this conversation for the 100th time.

The story kind of starts with Muttonchops paying them a visit to get the supply line moving so things can get rebuilt.

A political barrier would be better than a magical one, so vein attempt to keep all the magical dangerous shit contained to the islands.

I like to think Muttonchops had a low opinion of the survivors of the incident until Basement Wizard enchanted a farmhouse, turning it into a giant robot sized golem which he and Muttonchops co-piloted to smack around a bog monster.
Then Muttonchops opinion of the survivors greatly improved.

One of the early cases would probably be Marion getting out of the office, using her vampire powers to tell which humans were human and which were skin-walkers or something like that. For as long as she's out of the office, nothing gets done back at base forcing her to be stuck in command and begin recruiting since she can't be out in the field.

But by whom?
>>
>>93724574
Alright.

The concept of the story is about a city completely populated by super villains.
The protagonist is a dude in a pink bunny outfit like pic related who is terrible at being a villain.

He is innocent at first but he slowly becomes more evil. The story starts out as a slice of life comedy but becomes darker with each chapter.

I can't draw so I might as well share this here.
I want to do a lot of the writing but others can add to the story as well. I might post a drive link with character descriptions and plot details sometime soon.

Well the six tentacles are made for standard bashing, entanglement, electric surges, and can be thinned out for cutting. The main body can come apart and slam together like an iron maiden. On the bottom are a pair of howitzer turrets that can fire various types of shells. Two orange elephant tusks because seriously every 70s and early 80s robot anime minus Gundam had at least one elephant monster, it's like Japan hated elephants back then what the hell? The eye is for creating illusions and flashes that create telekinetic explosions (extremely common attack in Super Sentai). As for back story.... Someone else take that.

In the year 3399 humanity found itself at war with interdimensional worshipers of an anarchy god that sent his best abominations to spread his special brand of edgy chaos to Earth. Apep, the ancient Egyptian serpent demon, got royally pissed off someone killed Ra before he did in the ensuing conflict and sent these minions through a time portal. Their bodies and minds got fused together to become an anarchaic collective of malice with no name that fits them other than Monster of The Week! He cannot be killed, but his big weakness is that he is two inches tall, making him insignificant to a plot!

How could Britain survive an apocalypse without Roof Koreans?
>>
I almost forget I was writing this.
>>93598436
It begins. On opposite ends of the field both girls run for the ball and shoot. One of them does a sliding kick to angle it in a way the goalie wouldn’t expect, the other kicks it in such a way that it spins right out of the goalie’s hands and bounces off of the posts supporting the netting to bounce it in. The team all nods at this. They continue, one of them kicks the ball up into the air and headbutts it into the goal, the other falls on her face, rolls on the ground like a ball, and hits it like a billiard ball to send it flying.

There are rumbles in the air now, the static from the encroaching punishment of the violation in board law makes the ground itself begin to split, the field is uneven now. One of them banks on this for a trick shot by bouncing the ball through the cracks like a trench run, the other bounces like a pogostick with her legs extending and shrinking as if she were from a rubber hose black and white cartoon.

The sky splits and a vortex begins forming, the field is now being ripped apart and the goals are in the air. One of them kicks the ball in such a way where it goes in and out of the goal over and over again like a paddle ball thanks to the winds, the other pulls extra balls out of her ears and begins rapidly kicking them in. They both reached the 10 shot count, a winner must be decided before they are all crushed under the falling massive hammer now emerging from the sky.

“Well, who is the real Kek[s4s]ndra?!” /co/nrad yells at Ses, who is now clinging to him for dear life in the airborne seats they’re trying to stay planted in.

Ses musters up enough strength to point in the high winds “That’s the cap’n, the other’s the fake!”
>>
>>93728443
The girl he didn’t point at looks shocked, then angry, her eyes change to red, her hair changes styles, her clothing begins to… melt? She blasts off from the chunk of land she was stand on and flies at Kek[s4s]ndra screaming “I WON’T GO BACK ALONE!”

As she lunges at the real Kek[s4s]ndra the hammer is nearly upon her, the team all stares in shock, but then, Kek[s4s]ndra’s eyes light up. Before anyone could see what she did, /l/elaura’s face collies with a soccer ball, knocking her off target. /l/elaura catches herself on a flying piece of field, she’s looking down, she’s angry, she looks up and her face changes to terror, the hammer is about to make contact.

Kek[s4s]ndra makes a face “No dum-dum, I stay, you go, no following!”

The hammer has made contact. In a flash of light and a blast of air, everything goes back into place, /l/elaura is nowhere to be seen. /co/nrad gets up, peels Ses off of his person like a hula hoop, and walks over to where Kek[s4s]ndra is still standing.

He looks up at the sky “She’ll probably be back. If she could escape before, she can escape again.”

Kek[s4s]ndra picks up the ball “Maybe then she’ll actually want to play games without being /l/ewd.”

“Speaking of, you asked me to find out if scripts were being used, and I think I have an answer for you now.” Kek[s4s]ndra spins around to face /co/nrad now as he continues “During the showdown, you were doing a bunch of non-regulation tricks. Those tricks looked scripted to me.”

Kek[s4s]ndra is spinning the ball on one finger now “That wasn’t a match, so it wasn’t against the rules. I don’t play that way during the cup.”

/co/nrad continues “So to answer your question, yes, you’ve been using scripts to steal gets,” Kek[s4s]ndra’s arms seem to deflate and go limp as she drops the ball “but you haven’t been using them during the cup games to cheat, so it’s not illegal.”
>>
>>93728484
Kek[s4s]ndra rubs her chin with a hand at the end of her floppy arms “Hmm, OK. Thanks for clearing that up, /co/nrad.” She begins bouncing the ball on her head over and over again, like imitating a pump to get her arms re-inflated. “We’re gonna get back to practice now.”

/co/nrad shrugs, “I’m gonna head home. Someone point me in the right direction.”

* * *

Back in /co/nrad’s office, /co/lette is sitting in his chair wearing a spare coat and hat /co/nrad had lying around. She’s kicked back with her legs on the desk for balancing the chair. A loud slam jolts her to the floor as the door in /co/nrad’s office that he left from swings open and a large, pointing hand shoots out of it with /co/nrad riding on it.

He dismounts, waves saying “Thanks for the ride.” and the hand waves back before disappearing back through the door.

/co/nraad looks at /co/lette on the floor and extends a hand “Did I miss anything?”

/co/lette takes his hand “Oh, not much, just a giant monster, a theft at a comic shop over some vintage Golden Girl issues, an army of S.P.A.M. Bots lead by Anomalous Norm, and a phone call from Colby about some work at CO & Friends Insurance. The usual Saturday stuff.”

/co/nrad checks his watch, it’s late “Huh, tell me about it over toonami.”

Technically there is no officially anything. These are just ideas for people to play around with. They can make story as they see fit. There is only consensus or widely recognize version of these ideas, but I hope people can feel free to do whatever they feel like doing with it. Although /co/ adventure by psu is probably the most widely recognize version of the story. Although psu's been busy with their own projects. I wonder how they would feel if someone were to pick up where they left off.

Each drawfag tend to have specific set of character repertoire they prefer to work with. Its more of a time limitation then anything, For the last few thread I don't usually have time to read everything, so I just scan for subject of interest.

I have a catalogue of images so I use them to help bump, but there are some subject areas I don't want to step on other people's toes. Since I tend to put my own spin on things.

Aw man, we go through a lot of phases, so I don't know which one you were referring to.

What I meant was only images that I have drawn rather then /coc/ collection in general. Although its all mixed in with my regular stuff and porn. I have been meaning to draw more nsfw /coc/ stuff, but I never got around to it for some reason.
>>
>>93738046
2013 era I think.
Bad year for /coc/.

I think Coscru anon started making Cosmic Crusaders in 2015.

I went and did a massive amount of organization of all the /coc/ stuff I've saved a couple years ago.
So many sub folders.

And male Evilverse Marley is looking very bishi now.

It's not new, but I drew this a year ago. I've meant to make more GG comics, but haven't had the chance. I doubt any of them will be adult, trying to stick to some limits would be a fun challenge.

I know this was posted at the time, but it was never in the /co/llection, I thought maybe because I wasn't the one who posted it. So, here's even a higher res version.
>>
>>93741501
She's done some art on other boards, including /tg/ and /vg/, and that seems to be what she's going by.
>>
>>93741545
I still enjoyed it.

Hope you make up for lost time in whatever form you desire, whether it's for /coc/ or personal work.
>>
>>93741545
Oh, neat.

I think the reason why it was never uploaded to the booru is because it wasn't drawn for these threads, only posted to them from somewhere else.
Sort of an unspoken permission rule.

>>93741553
I remember she did that thing on /tg/ when they were trying to do the /co/lette mashup character.

I still have the same DeviantART account, and it has stuff all the way back to 2003, but it doesn't have everything. I started being careful what I posted there in 2006ish when they were banning people for vague reasons, and I had a number of pictures removed.

I don't have a website anymore. But just about everything I make is posted on my Tumblr, in-progress stuff, sketches, comics, stuff I don't post on DA. If you want the most content, it's there.

lightfootadv.tumblr.com

I also have a comic called Pulse (the website subpages aren't all there yet, I had to move suddenly when ComicDish closed). It updates every Thursday, and I've been posting it in the "How's Your Webcomic" thread here recently to get some feedback about it. It's not adult, it's the PG-13ish adventures of a buxom armored superheroine.

The picture attached is the lead from Pulse (Annie Chang) dressed as Golden Girl for last Halloween.

Makes me wonder. What IS the cultural impact GG had on the /co/verse? If she's a comic book character to them, who created her?

It would be pretty cute for /co/lette to find her as a positive female role model as a kid,
with all the innuendo going over her head.
>>
>>93744367
I haven't seen this one before, or at least I don't think I have.

I remember a ways back when we kicked around the idea of a Breast Wars 2, someone suggested the idea of Ladybug having read a whole bunch of old Golden Girl and Golden Guardian comics when she was a kid.
>>
>>93746093
A while back we were discussing how some of the characters in GG might have characters in the /co/verse they were "based" upon, like a Jade Empress who was a super villain back during that time period, but was nowhere near as powerful or as evil.

Would Golden Girl's /co/verse "Creator" be aware of how lewd and innuendo the comic was, or would it be a conscious effort after seeing it in their dreams?

Something comes to mind.

What is the relationship between The /co/llective and /co/ntainment? With /co/ntainment's early (or even continued) high turn over rates, would The /co/llective, in good conscious, be able to recommend super humans to work there?

I know Anastasia Wright got a job at the Brit branch through The /co/llective, but any other cases?

Edge, the woman who has the super power of immunity (cannot be turned) was recruited into /co/ntainment when Director Muttonchops saw her fighting zombies or some such in the parking lot and ordered she be given an ID badge.

Could Edge have been recommended to /co/ntainment through The /co/llective and Muttonchops just didn't get the memo? He does like offering random people jobs.

Also, since Edge is immune to vampire/werewolf/zombie bites can can't get infected, would that also extend to things like spores and fungus? I like to think it would and she helps deal with an alien fungus infestation.

Can cures be created from her blood? Does she get a sizable royalty check from all the diseases and shit her blood has helped cure and her work at /co/ntainment is just so she doesn't go insane from boredom or that she just has a need to be an action hero?

Just stuff that's on my mind.

That's dumb.
Marley is obviously having boob envy with the two scoops making her feel that her boobs won't be able to land her Greg's attention.

Just checking the wiki for characterization on Bees, and notes he's oblivious the dames' interest in him, which I haven't seen implemented much.

>"when he's not in costume his response to a lady showing interest is to talk about his comic collection."

Not only that, he lacks a civilian name. Has anyone considered that?

"Michael Benjamin Mathieu" is one I thought of, portmanteau-ing out of Matt Murdock alliteration and having a middle name with a B (originally thought of James, evoking James Howlett's bone skeleton) and BJ for a middle name would be fodder for teasing.
>>
>>93761718
Don't use more words than you have to for things that aren't important.

For that matter, if it's not relevant to a character doing something (even tangentially), I'd shy away from writing it unless I had to. People don't give a fuck about how pretty the weather is. Starting with the weather is one of the biggest cliches in the book.

Start with a person doing something - struggling for something - and then we'll care that THEY care that it's overcast and shitty today. Don't purple prose it by making every tiny detail have an entire paragraph to itself. It makes things read slow.
>>
>>93765993
Another thing! You are NEVER going to perfectly transfer the image from your brain into the brain of the reader. Don't try to do that, it's a fool's errand. Grab that image and paint the broad strokes and key details so that they get the right approximate feeling instead.

A six paragraph physical description is a waste of fucking time. It's boring. It's inefficient. Paint what's important for the essential impression and trust the reader to fill in the rest during your action and dialogue beats, as well as any other hints you drop as you go.
>>
>>93762893

I have brought that up before, but no one ever wanted to talk about it.

I think I like James as a first name for him, the BJ thing doesn't really feel like it works with him, and any of the stuff with VFT does not happen until several arcs into his story.
>>
>>93748855
