About half of them? A lot of webcomics have protagonists with huge personal problems. Dilbert, for example. He's a successful engineer but has no personal life and is treated like dirt by half the cast.

About 10 years ago, I showed this site to a friend in high school during science class (we had computers in class). There was a comic from that day that was strangely related to what we had been talking about. The page loaded up on some ecchi anime drawing. My friend just looked about me with disappointment and walked away. When I tried to explain, he wouldn't believe me. He just kept saying stuff like, "I don't care what hentai or whatever you're into, just don't share that weird stuff with other people."
