Who was in the wrong here?

On one side, it feels like Tracks is the one who pushed Needlenose to fall in with the Decepticons, and you get the feeling Needlenose isn't really that bad a guy.

On the other hand, Needlenose let Horri-bull terrorize and beat the living hell out of people and blames the Autobots for putting a stop to that (despite the fact it wasn't actually them, not that he knows this)

I don't know where to stand on Needlenose.

Tracks was just one of the reasons that made Needlenose go with the Decepticons. He isn't any better than Horri-bull and his life sucks, because most of the time he is too busy blaming other people for his problems.

Following the TAAO storyline with Windblade and what's going on with her head, if there's ever a new Transformers series (either comic or cartoon) and she's a character in it, I wouldn't mind having her start off as a villain, with backstory revealing she got her mind corrupting attempting to stop a dark titan.

I like her well enough. She's not some sort of fanfiction-y self-insert character, she's pretty solidly characterised as a naive idealist who gets dragged down into moral dubiousness and realpolitik despite her best wishes.
I don't know that she's anybody's favorite, but she works well as a protagonist.
