It is entirely possible for a studio to contract individuals in Korea to work on the show, and it would make a lot more sense than hiring them, getting them visas and relocating them to America and paying them American salaries. It's also possible that they are working for a Korean studio but for some reason it has not been named yet.

It looks like there's no budget for inbetweens and the action is flashy, smeary nonsense.

The fights aren't interrupted by them talking for 10 minutes about their tragic backstories while the only animation is their lips flapping in place if you're lucky in between every 2 hits.

There are no speedlines, the action is way more subtle than you're making it out to be (they swing their weapons without yelling out the name of their attacks, don't see Alucard shouting ALUCARD SWORD for instance) and so on.

That was nothing like an anime fight, especially because it was actually watchable barring 8 seconds of the fight.

Did anybody else notice the references to SotN? For starters, there was Alucard's afterimage technique, his Alucard sword, Alucard's SotN design, the alchemy lab at the beginning, and Lisa's backstory of being burnt at the stake.

It also features Alucard working with both Trevor and Sypha which was deemed canon in SotN, despite CV3 only allowing one teammate.

I think the bloody rain was a reference to Rondo of Blood.

I'm talking about the animation style, not the presentation. This show has pretty cheap animation akin to anime for most of the part, right down to saving budget for flashy action scenes while having mouth flaps and stiff character animation.

It looks like something that was animated American style but then most of the frames were removed afterwards. Well of course they didn't do that, but that's just what it looks like. Anime is animated in a very different way, the frames are chosen more deliberately, it's not just an absence of frames. Anime is also not this low framerate when characters are moving, and if they're on a tight "budget" then they're going to switch up camera angles and use some tricks to make things look better, they wouldn't animate the scene like this.

The animation was on point for the angry mob, they even had detailed snow particles subtly placed in some shots and tiny details like Dracula makes his hands bleed with his nails or the flames flickering. There was plenty going on in the background during shots, and the characters actually moved their faces while speaking, which was part of what made the goat story so entertaining.

As for stiff character animations? Again, you're making shit up. Scenes like Alucard dashing or Trevor jumping off Sypha to hit the cyclops were extremely fluid.
