2. There is nothing in the film sbout Coruscant being any more dark side clouded than anywhere else
3. Even in the OT, the force is used across distances.
4. Sidious even controlling the senate from afar would mean that the sith gave the Republic an army when they could just raze the galaxy with the droid army.

Needing any more than this ample in-story information for why they didn't do blood tests is LITERALLY "why didn't they just fly the eagles to mordor" tier.

Qui-Gon was the first real instance where you could almost 'feel' the pain of being struck by a lightsaber. I remember being visibly disturbed at the sight of it. The soundless outward gasp coming from his mouth agape as he hunches forward and crumples to the floor. Can't even imagine that. Man they completely wasted the stormtrooper aspect of Finn's character. He'd have been a more interesting character if he had partaken in the village massacre at the beginning of the film. It would have given a him a more convincing reason to help the resistance if he was trying to put right the wrongs he'd committed whilst with the first order. The writers made him too innocent, its obvious how they were trying to scrub any wrongdoing from his character. Then even tried to say he was just a janitor despite the fact he was on a seemingly important mission with both phasma and kylo ren to get a hold of poe and bb8.

Well personally I prefer canon but Legends has a lot of movie quality stories because it was allowed to go off and do absolutely anything meaning that if they wanted to make a story about a blue Admiral coming from the depths of space to bring back the Empire meanwhile the Emperor's personal assassin falls in love with Luke Skywalker they could meanwhile Canon just takes something already established like A New Hope and makes 5 books, 40 short stories, 1 game, 1 movie, and 4 comics to flesh that movie out. While canon is impressive with now in depth they can make a movie or show given surrounding material that's also it's weakness because it means we have to wait for huge projects like movies or AAA video games to really expand on the universe in any meaningful way.

That was never an "idea". Never even a real thing. In the case of the Jedi it would completely go against humility. The Force is not a practical weapon. Even a Jedi Master, who knows nothing is impossible with the Force, should know not to take it literally, knowing too that they still live in a very real world with little regard for such things.

Naturally you would break from endlessly trading blows to reassess yourself and the opponent while still keeping your blade moving so as not to be caught off guard. Do people just not know how sword fighting works? And that lightsaber combat as depicted in the Prequels is a building upon standard practices? A regular sword fight is meant to be over in a few seconds by parry and thrust, because even trained human reflexes aren't fast enough to counter such dexterity. But lightsaber combat, especially with prime Jedi, is depicted as reflexes taken up to and over 11, to the point where the standard parry and strike can be parried and struck through right back and vice versa. This is why lightsaber duels just go on and on - because they're literally just that skilled. A lot of real world swordsmen like to laugh at it but they nevet think of it in this way because they're only thinking on what's possible with them, when in reality it's the kind of pinnacle all martial artists aspire to.
